I was in on Bautista as well. Spanky was straight forward with what he wanted, but I was hesitant. I'm convinced though that even if I had agreed to the pieces, Archer + Cobb beats it, so I have no regrets. I'll take Verlander as a consolation prize. A lot of risk involved, but I'm in win now mode and Moore provides 0 innings for ROS. I enjoy dealing with Spanky. He's straight forward, open to different ideas, and tells you if someone is beating your offer (which I love).

The top 5/6 could beat or get crushed by dinger in any given week. He's the favorite to win, but it's not close to a lock.

I like what Cats is doing long term. Hes being patient and setting himself up for continous competing. That being said, I saw him as the 2nd best team behind dinger and I'm thrilled hes made these moves to weaken his 2014 squad.

Sammy is right on the fence. He can make a big move and go for it, or move some age and look towards next year. It would suck to do the former and still miss the playoffs.
