I've been refreshing their matchup every 3 minutes today. Realmin's offense is still good without him, but being Stanton-less is a huge blow. Just seeing dinger eliminated would be a huge plus for every other playoff team. He's always been the favorite to win it all, so an early exit significantly increases every remaining team's chances.

Yeah it's been a great season for your arms (outside of Miller/Minor). Hughes' value skyrocketed. Ross' went up since you acquired him. Peralta made some nice strides this year, and Fiers has looked great. That would have been a disaster for me if that Storen/Soriano swap went down.

Njh is pulling off an epic comeback on North. He could take H, RBI, SB, SLG, W, SV, K, HLD. He also has the tiebreaker.

I think 8 games and some sort of anger-management program is fair. By no means do I think he enjoys hitting kids. I think it's terrible to do what he did, but I don't think it's something that would happen again. He's a father that was trying to discipline his child, but let it get out of hand and made the stupid decision to use a "switch". (For the record, I don't support any kind of physical discipline). Give him 8 games, and if something like this ever happens again, suspend him indefinitely.

I agree with all of this (other than the slowing down part). The timing of this couldn't be worse for AP. The NFL took so much heat for the Rice situation that they're going to go out of their to give AP a more strict punishment than he deserves. I really wouldn't be surprised to see him suspended for the entire year (even though I think that's way too harsh).

I think you're going to need to take all 7 offense to beat dinger (which is possible). He has the tiebreaker and SP edge, so it's looking like he could take every pitching category but Holds.

I'm with Spanky on this one. We can't lump spanking in with using a "switch". It's obviously much more painful with the birch he used, evidenced by the visible lacerations.

Yeah you could basically flip 6/7 offensive categories in one day.

At least you still have Cuddyer. He's no Stanton, but it's way better than grabbing some random scrub off the waiver wire. If you pull off the upset over dinger, and I hold on to my lead vs jaysblue, we get our cheesesteak rematch round two!
