  1. I think we should draft J.D. Davis... just cuz it would be mildly humorous
  2. Injury history is a real concern if Reyes was to be traded... but other than that whats wrong with his contract?
  3. Yeah I really like Joc. I was going to foolishly re-draft him in our second draft.
  4. That system is so retarded.
  5. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2013/10/yankees-expected-to-aggressively-pursue-tanaka.html Yanks going hard for Tanaka apparently. Contains a quite odd quote from a scout... (well I guess not that odd as its from a scout)
  6. Crazy s***.
  7. I do agree that a #3 or better starter is a must for this team. I don't really know if you can bank on much more than that. At least you have the potential for a decent rotation with Dickey some FA Morrow Buehrle some combo of Stroman, Happ, Drabek, Hutch, McGowan, etc, etc... Depending on the quality of the FA starter, you have at least 2 guys who have the possibility of being #2+ guys in Morrow and Dickey. We aren't going to get an entire new and shiny rotation. Some bounce-back or luck is a requisite to us competing.
  8. Lol at having 84M committed to basically 4 guy. Double lol when you consider none of them are locks to play a considerable chuck of next season.
  9. That list seems to put HUGE weight on this last season. You can make a case why the most recent season is the most important, but still seems a little off. Either way, small victory for me and my DDL team with a whopping 7 players on my MiLB squad (if you include Bundy who may as well be) with and 8th with a ranking of ???
  10. a bunch of people keep saying you have Bailey for 2 years. Am I reading something wrong? I think he's a FA after 2014 (ie next year). Is it not Bailey for 1 year?
  11. Is it a guarantee that he gets a qualifying offer? It wouldn't surprise me if he did, but it also wouldn't if the cards didn't want to risk him accepting. He would be getting a raise in pay and his a liability in the field with no DH spot available.
  12. We have a differing opinion of him. I guess time will tell who is right. In either case, I don't want to trade him for a year of Bailey. Like I said, we need cost controlled guys with MB, RA, Romero, and Morrow on the books for the next few years.
  13. I like Stroman a lot. I wouldn't trade him for Bailey and I like Bailey. We need some cost controlled pitching badly with some of the contracts we have.
  14. You can say that again... that's filthy from 1-10 and not too shabby after that.
  15. Probably a good call for you anyway
  16. I think that's it. 2000-2001 was the last time Cruz Jr. played extensively in CF.
  17. I'll sure have a great rotation in this league pretty soon..... oh wait http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2013/10/quick-hits-wainwright-dbacks-hultzen-royals.html at least Hultzen is on my MiLB roster, unlike Bundy. Why didn't this happen way back at the start of the year when the injury came up!
  18. Nice of them to give us a good picture of his numbers
  19. The Jays didn't have the type of impact position players in their farm like Baez, Soler, Almora, Bryant, and Alcantara. But yes it does make you sad that we gutted ourselves before seeing the benefits of the farm.
  20. Uhhh, I think your forgetting the value they put on highlight reel catches (Adam Jones Style) or Jump Trows (Derek Jeter Style). There's your 'defensive metrics'.
  21. agreed on all accounts. Just a much better environment for real discussion.
  22. Jays will draft 9th and 11th unless the Phillies somehow come back to win (in which case we'd draft 8th and 11th. Congrats tank nation
  23. My god that was close
