  1. The hard part about watching Shane Baz is realizing he is what we all wanted Pearson to be.
  2. He looks like the most sure fire ace you can have in a prospect. I don't remember the last time I saw a pitching prospect come up and look this good
  3. Baz looks like he was made in a pitching factory.
  4. When are cuts due?
  5. Yes, so as I said, he wasn't looking like a hall of fame pitcher until he was 27 or 28.
  6. Maybe he was betting on the Padres
  7. Broken neck
  8. I mean, it's the same with hitters. If you turn into a pumpkin at 29-31 you're probably not going to be in the hall of fame. Just that pitchers are way more likely to break as they hit that age.
  9. I think it takes time for these things to settle in. Gerrit Cole wasn't looking like a HOF level pitcher until he was 27 or 28. It seems like you have to be good until your mid to late 30's to be a HOF pitcher... Verlander, Scherzer, Kershaw, etc. Burnes could be a candidate if his arm doesn't break and he sustains his peak for a few more years.
  10. Time to start limiting him to two times through the order per start. If he can make it that far.
  11. Not realistic. Ryu would have to enter unrosterable territory for him to be released. He hasn't even been bad as a whole, just average, and inconsistent.
  12. It's on his player page, sort from season to game.
  13. Baseball savant, bro.
  14. So this league is dead right?
  15. Who wants to explain to me not pinch hitting for Valera or Mcguire. Thats f***ing brutal managing.
  16. They have some stars. Cruz is one of the better hitters in the league and Wander Franco was running a 145 wRC+ since the allstar break.
  17. I never said anyone said there lineup was bad lol. I was merely just saying they don't have any duds. That goes a long way. Meanwhile we are/were giving regular playing time to guys like Breyvic Valera and Joe Panik.
  18. Hurl posted a cool stat about them leading the MLB in runs 7 through 9 by a massive amount, mentioning that they might be targeting guys who can specifically hit high velo. Don't know if that's actually what they do or not, but I thought it was interesting.
  19. They have no bad hitting position players. Adames was traded because he couldn't see, Brosseau was optioned, Tsutsugo DFA'd. Pretty much everyone can hold their weight with the bat. I see a few guys that are definitely overperforming though.
  20. Franco is out, bro. And they have Lowe and Arozarena on the bench tonight.
  21. I mean, they are 4th in the MLB in team wRC+ and have scored more runs than any other team by a large margin. They are just a really good team. Gotta tip your cap.
  22. Against... *checks notes* Ralph Garza Jr.
