    Wonder how many of the players in that one have kids in the league now. Guerrero, Biggio, Bichette, etc etc. But yeah, I remember spending the $5-10 on those "magazines". I forget which one it was, but one was definitely better than the rest.

    If he was a righty I'd maybe understand it, but a lefty has more value. The only other possibility is he's off to Japan or something like that. But otherwise there's something more to the picture here.

    If anyone had any interest, he could have been picked on waivers. We could also have outrighted him ourselves but left him open if anyone had any interest. But no.

    Thanks for collecting all this, Iceman. When I was younger I used to pay for those crappy magazines that maybe gave you 5 prospects. This is awesome.

    sorry I meant the good or the best ones, but you're right, Ashby and Morales were worthy of a picture.

    That's about it for #8. The number was held for the bullpen coach for a long time so not a lot of players.

    I seem to remember hearing good things about Bale. And Werth was definitely a prospect.

    Actually the Jays got him in a trade with Baltimore.

    Makes sense, that he's basically the data analyst and Walker and Ware are more on the mechanics side.

    In less than 2 weeks a team can use its 60 day dl.

    I thought "Major League Coach" was the third string manager (Manager/Bench Coach/Major League Coach).

    IF we can somehow wait 2 weeks then he can report and go right to the 60 day. That fits the best.

    Maybe but they've done the medicals supposedly. I don't know the nuances of when somebody can go on the 60 but it would make the most sense.

    Good addition, but strange timing. If the Jays waited until spring started to formalize the contract, then he could go straight to the 60 day DL. I think this will cost somebody a roster spot.

    He did get more involved in religion during his time in Toronto.

    Wasn't there something where he wanted to go to one of the major Jewish areas, and thus LA.

    100 is about 2/3 of a season. That's a cup of coffee in my opinion.
