Might as well sit back and enjoy: the chips are falling today. Maybe we should do a bet on how much is spent on any one day. My guess is $375 million today.

I honestly don't think anything is happening with Bo at the moment. He probably needs to heal a bit more. Just doesn't seem to be any real noise.

I think it's first day of spring training.

He could go back to the 60 day list. That could be done in February or so. Probably makes sense if he isn't released first.

Still some health concerns on the list. Right now I'd say Bieber and Berrios could be concerns.

It could be that this move takes the $$ contract and moves it to the minor leagues so doesn't count against the major league total salaries amount. Didn't we do something like that with Straw?

when he got left off the post season roster it became obvious. I thought somebody would want him but I guess not.

I would completely agree with this. I'd have the guy appearing in 130+ games and none of the starters would be overworked.

Ernie Clement is the super sub we've always wanted to have, much like a Ben Zobrist. Love to see him getting 400 AB's all through the infield.

Barger will hit 40 hr one day soon so all that matters is that he gets the ABs.

We can do that but I think keeping Varsho is more necessary.

I'm figuring room for 5 outfielders being: Varsho, Springer, Santander, Lukes and Tucker (?) I'm wondering if Santander can actually play the outfield or even play at all?

I'm starting to count roster spots. If we sign Tucker, then one of Straw or Lukes gets left off. And that assumes Barger at 3b and Santander in one outfield corner.

If he wants major league time he might. Don't know if he'd get paid at Buffalo.

Something like that would make some sense. But I gotta admit, the Bieber thing where he didn't opt makes me wonder if he's not so sure about his health. Makes keeping Berrios an idea.

Yes I know he has 3 years but I think if the team options him then he can declare free agency or something like that.

If I remember his contract, all we have to do is option him and he's a free agent.

I definitely see Rodriguez as the most likely to go. I'd love to know the behind the scenes situation with Berrios and Santander. The real facts could be interesting.
