    Because I think that one of the starters could go down again and Serven is better than nothing.

    I absolutely agree. That's why I think we should look for somebody that has to be cut loose by his team as spring training comes to a close. Roster them for the week or two that we need to replace Jansen and then try to pass them through waivers. That way we keep a backup (Serven) who's not on the 40 and can't be scooped up.

    A bum who's our third best catcher right now and one of our top two (Jansen) is a constant injury candidate.

    Do you want to risk losing Serven because of 2 starts? I'm not as sure about that. That's why I was wondering if we'd look at if there's any available catchers (available for free) and try to outright them after Jansen returns.

    Parsons may be on the opening day 26 man roster as an injury replacement.

    I'd guess he made all the bets on Ohtanei's behalf. But no way Ohtanei didn't know.

    The third point is that he leaves so much money "sitting around" in cash and not even in money market accounts managed by a professional.

    This is part of why I get pi$$ed off at the Rose situation. He gets banned from baseball but Ohtani gets protected.

    I 100% agree with your point. No way they'll let Ohtani burn. He left a lot of money unmanaged which seems to be a red flag.

    Espinal was effectively the first off the 40 man roster leaving one spot open. That will go to a catcher, whoever it may be.

    Count me in on this too. The translator is taking the fall for Shohei. So that's his thing. Don't know if the Dodgers could get out from under that in any other way.

    I'm still thinking an outside catcher could come in if its just for a game or two. I'm guessing they will want to clear the 40 man spot of whichever catcher covers the first games and may not want to lose Severn/Payton. Same thing with a right handed outfielder might get cut loose by another team and effectively replace Schneider who hasn't had a great looking spring.

    Yeah health issues aside, I figured 110 is the target for KK.

    Wouldn't be surprised if Varsho gets a few more games in CF this year which should improve his WAR.

    When I was a kid, my parents were big on dressing up (and making me dress up) for certain restaurants. The Keg was considered the line. Keg and above, dress up. Anything below, hell no.

    I got mine in Newmarket. You have to get a box to decode it or something like that. Mine's MAG 524. Works best if plugged in directly to WIFI. $15/month.

    No it doesn't. It allows filtering in general though, but I would just rather keep the 10 or so settings that are more relevant and wipe out the other 30+.

    IPTV as well. Totally better than the other packages. Wish I could dump some of it though. Filipino, Chinese, Arabic and all the Indian just take up space.
