  1. Depends on which Vladdy we get. He's got a lot to prove this year.
  2. It'll probably depend on the score but yes. Probably White in more of a mop up type roll (which used to be more of a thing) and Parsons where it's in tighter. Either one could go 3-4 innings easily.
  3. I figured he and White would be used with Francis and Gausman.
  4. so Wes Parsons made the opening day roster. I have to admit, the Parsons I saw last year I expected to be outrighted over the winter. He was awful. This spring was a totally different pitcher.
  5. Vogelbach discovers Ozempic, leads the team in Stolen Bases and becomes the new 2b.
  6. Gotta admit, I see value in Little. A tweak or two and he could be a real good reliever. Not feeling so highly on Zach Pop. Wish I did.
  7. Wonder if there's any 60 day DL manipulations we could do? For example, Manoah's entry could be backdated. He won't be ready to start the season even if he's ready to start "spring training" tomorrow.
  8. So I'm guessing Vogelbach will be used as a pinch hitter after the 6th inning for 2b-3b and maybe catcher?
  9. I gotta admit, I thought Spanky was right.
  10. It is about colour: the colour of money!! The Dodgers will not be punished!!!
  11. Ohtani now being investigated by MLB: https://www.msn.com/en-ca/sports/mlb/mlb-now-investigating-shohei-ohtani-gambling-scandal/ar-BB1ksfGY?ocid=msedgntp&pc=U531&cvid=2334bfa564e948c293ab8d8fb5857790&ei=10 The old trick I learned when I was trying to recreate a pension that had been royally fuc*ed up, was "follow the money". In this case, it came from Ohtani and was forgiven by him. The smell of guilt.
  12. Yep. It's the only way it makes any degree of sense:
  13. Things that make me scratch my head: I'm guessing Vogelbach gave up the full guarantee on his contract.
  14. I was thinking the Votto thing could be timed along with the return of Jansen so that 40 man roster spot would be used. I wonder if Barger could get some time in CF in Buffalo. There's seems to be some talk about making Vogelbach's contract not guaranteed so that if he were released they wouldn't owe him anything
  15. during the game they were talking about the pitching depth chart. Buck was saying how Little is basically 3rd lefty behind Mayza and Cabrera. It seemed they were mulling over Mayza potentially being injured and what would be the impact. Right now I think the 26 man roster decisions all come down to health of pitchers and the impact on the 40 man.
  16. I know the 13/13 pitcher to hitter ratio. My point is that if Vogelbach makes the team then somebody has to come off the 40 man roster. If it's Lukes then we don't have much in the outfield if something were to happen to KK Varsho or Springer. So if VOgelbach makes the roster then we may have to remove a pitcher. With all of the injuries we are starting to run out of pitchers. We could lose a pitcher like Little (who we may need) for Vogelbach who doesn't really provide that much value.
  17. With all the pitchers potentially hurt, the team will probably not want to DFA anyone who can throw so I think Vogelbach's chances are getting smaller.
  18. Maybe he was thinking about the permissible betting environment in Canada and that's why Toronto had a shot. Just shows you: when you've got a full out attempt to sign somebody, you really have to know them.
  19. He probably will get the 5th starter spot until Gausman returns.
  20. Just looking at today on its own. His location is his only real issue.
  21. Mitch White's location looking good today.
  22. So announcement after the game re Eduardo Escobar who was scratched from today's game: Say goodbye!
  23. If we had two Kirks I'd agree with you and I'd consider this all but over, but we have Jansen, whose only real weakness is health issues.
  24. last game I saw Payton Henry I thought his defense was unreliable.
