    Either way one of them said they were tapped out and wouldn't be spending any further. So it kind of backs my point. This offense is just meh!

    On its own, I agree. The only problem is that in making this signing, they used up most of their available budget and wouldn't be able to do anything better. It's like going all in on a pair of deuces.

    Keep in mind, this team as constructed, is a slightly more than .500 team. Last year we had excellent health for the pitchers that was statistically unbelievable. It should regress a bit this year and the offense should be about the same or slightly lower than last year. IKF will provide good defense but not hit. 2/3 of the outfield is getting too old.

    The only excuse for the above is when you dont want to upset others in the batting order. Not the case here, no excuse

    waivers are normally 2 days not 2 hours. For some reason this was done a few days ago but announced today.

    His is the kind of arm that will draw interest. Somebody will expect they can fix his delivery and harness the 98-100 mph. Expect to lose him.

    that's great news, because I don't think we go very far without these two. The bullpen completely changes when they return.

    We're good, I don't find you that controversial to be honest. Controversy is a lot bigger than discussing 4th outfielders and 7th-8th relievers.

    Dude is like 4th string at 1b-dh-ph. But you know what: in 24 hours we'll know for sure and will be discussing the first game of the season.

    Mayza Green and Garcia as a committee may be the obvious guess.

    I just have fingers crossed that Romano and Swanson's injuries are not severe and 60 day IR type injuries. The delay is probably because they have to put somebody on waivers and want to do it as late as possible. The waiver wire tomorrow has to be pretty big.
