    Possible. But more likely Gibby just wants to get Barney some ABs, but instead of playing over K machine Smoak he takes out our second hottest hitter. Reality is no one will know exact reasoning, but Gibby does make more stupid/questionable lineups than any other manager I have seen.

    It was an underlying condition that's essentially a birth defect. Shouldn't be the same as say rolling your ankle etc.

    Travis is on pace for over 4 WAR and he missed the first 50ish games of the year.

    He is not as good of a hitter yet as his draft position suggested. He really came on this season, but hasn't been that good before now.

    Injuries is not resting imo. Taking a guy out of your lineup on a 8 game hit streak and 15 of last 16 is idiotic unless it's the catcher.

    With our lack of ability to actually get hits...yes I'd say it's a not good thing. I think I have seen us get less than 5 hits a game more this year than the previous 3 ish years.

    I get Travis probably needs a day off...but seriously he is our second hottest hitter over the last 2 weeks.

    I would say so. More moving parts allows for more areas of the windup to be thrown out of timing. As a result, pitch control, velo, spin rate, etc will be effected to varying degrees.

    I think we are top 5 in % of runs from the HR...so I think it's an accurate narrative.
