    There isn't an innings limit though. It's more of a pitch total/how does his pitches look/how does he feel....limit

    His curveball is becoming great and as he ages you can expect better command of the fastball. Assuming the better command with age he wouldnt need to maintain the velocity because the movement of the fastball would still work great with better command than he has now.

    He would get a higher contract in theory due to not having the signing team lose a draft pick Edit: I think one team (Baltimore I think) wanted a player in Bautista's situation to pay them for losing a draft pick as a result of signing said player.
