  1. I would love to see him and Vlad Jr. playing together soon.
  2. His mechanics were clearly off causing his fastballs to be wild so he was behind a lot of counts and couldn't us the slider, then when he used the slider they went everywhere, short, high, over the plate, 45 feet...just had no control of anything really
  3. Stroman wasn't good but he wasn't terrible either. His mechanics were off caused the 2 seam to be wild and the slider to be useless most of the night. But don't forget he pitched well enough to win the game. Hard hit gbdp right at Travis should have ended the 1st with 0 runs scoring but a bad bounce off Travis' shoulder leads to 1 run and another on a groundout. Martin's passed ball on a pitch over the middle of the plate moved a guy to 2nd who scored on a slow ground ball up the middle and the next batter got out so another run that shouldn't have scored. Carrera makes a horrible read on a routine flyball that 9/10 RFs catch and the ball just falls in, in front of Carrera (let's hope he never saw it cause if that was his read it was just beyond terrible). I think that runner scored on a homerun the next batter, so he should never had scored. That's 4 runs directly related to terrible defense or a horrible hop/luck. This is a team game and the team played horrible overall. The 3 homeruns were bad but the first was just a horrible pitch selection. When the announcers are saying before the pitch....don't throw the breaking ball and then he does, someone screwed up that call (probably was Stroman), but it could have been avoided. The other 2 homeruns were just bad pitches. Overall, Stroman wasn't good but he pitched ok enough for us to win easily. Throw in the fact that he just took a 4 day vacation and didn't pitch during that time (most likely), I would say rust in terms of mechanics is the major problem Stroman had last night and should improve going forward.
  4. Rusty from the vacation and bad defense along with a few hanging pitches hurt him tonight. Not nearly as bad as it looked.
  5. Plus 3 straight innings they let the A's off the hook not driving in the runs. Pretty ugly game but still 2 innings to go
  6. No it wasnt...it not clear at all...play stand for every other team in the AL EAST I gurantee it.
  7. f*** MLB...no evidence at all he was safe...none
  8. We have to score late in a game to win for a change...Probably doesn't bode well for us.
  9. Offense has been good Pitching OK then it tanked Defense has been bad tonight....or unclutch
  10. Bad defense keeps leading to runs. Carrera could have easily caught that
  11. Martin now has 6 passed balls...I don't know what other catchers have but that is bad. That added with what was bad framing at one point of the year, plus really reduced ability to throw out runners (part on the pitchers)...Martin is not a good catcher at this point in time. Average maybe.
  12. Bullpen is on the side of the field so the bullpen pitchers are in the dugout until they need to warm up
  13. Their pitcher has been horrible as well...we seem to struggle against teams like this. Reminds me of those series aginst the White Sox. Hopefully we can put some hits together and make this a game.
  14. Game 92 Pillar (7pts)- Donaldson (2pts)- baseballsss, LTBF Edwin (2pts)- Tulo (2pts)- Smoak (5pts)- Saunders (2pts)- Jays4life19 Martin (5pts)- Thole (10pts)- Carrera (10pts)- o2 Barney(10pts)- Travis (7pts)- Candy Lake (10Pts) - Bench (10pts)
  15. Does he have a no trade clause?....if not this doesn't matter
