  1. Anyone have a good stream for this game?
  2. I'm not watching, just following on GameDay. The usual idiotic decision-making by Vlad?
  3. Probably. Dudes just coming back k off a fairly major injury and he legit sucks against LHP. Straw is like 99% as good in CF and has been good with the stick so far. Seems like a very defensible move.
  4. Countdown to Yimi's arm falling off is getting closer to 0.
  5. Jose Ramirez becomes the first CLE player with 250 HRs and 259 SBs. Criminally underrated player by MLB fans.
  6. Fair enough. He just doesn't bring what the Jays need in their lineup. Yeah he'd likely be an okay fill-in short-term, or a guy thye could call up for a doubleheader as the extra man, but...nothing exciting.
  7. Yeah, he looks a bit lost at the plate. Which circles back to my point though, he's not gonna learn to adjust to MLB pitching in AAA. That's why it's a tough call.
  8. At least Vlad struck out on strikes. Bo was up there swinging at butterflies
  9. It's gotta be getting close. Maybe another week more so as it's exceptionally clear he hasn't been able to make the adjustment. On the other hand... his D and baserunning have been fine, and it's impossible to learn to adjust to MLB pitching in AAA. Tough call.
  10. 110 EV on the Barger line out with xba of .710 Swing speed 80.1 Boy can get around with the best of them.
  11. You mean the 29 year old who's 5'9 with 0 power. Has good contact and walks a bit? Has over 250 PA in the bigs with the Angels and has like a 0.030 ISO? Forgive me if I'm unenthusiastic about this profile.
  12. Setback for Swanson in rehab. He's flying to meet with Jays medical staff. Was supposed to pitch for Dunedin but had some soreness in his forearm when playing catch
  13. Man that Aquasox stadium has some f***ed up dimensions. 330 to Right centre and 360 to CF?
  14. Literally what the FO was dreaming of in any of the Buffalo boys.
  15. Daulton "Insoluble Fibre" Varsho
  16. Yeah for sure. Relying in singles and stringing them together might actually work if you had team speed to go with it. Slow, plodding morons that run themselves off the bases...not so much.
  17. The thing is, Mattingly is technically right, you make more outs in the air than you do on the ground. But he also doesn't think far enough past that point to realize that when the balls you hit in the air don't go for outs, they go for extra bases far more often than ground balls do. Not very many HRs are hit on ground balls.
  18. Its not even about the unliklihood of sustained long innings of hits, it's that even if you get sustained long innings of singles, you don't score many runs. In a lineup that features Santander, Vlad, Kirk and "insert anyone else here" it could take a minimum 3 singles, even 4 just to score 1 run. It's not efficient
  19. 6 runs on 18 hits? Dreaming. Would take this offense nearly 30 hits, 4 of the runs would score on sac flies, and the other 2 on GIDPs with the bases loaded and none out.
  20. Good stuff. Point of correction though, youre link to Peyton Williams goes to a 26 year old pitcher, not the right Peyton Williams
