    I think the Astros are going to spend a decent amount in the upcoming years, there's rumours now they have 40-50 million of money to play with in this offseason if they wanted to spend it. Not that anyone worth anything would sign there this year, but in a couple years just like Pittsburgh in the past few years, you might see guys willing to go there

    Right in the tweet... "Arencibia, who has drawn interest from other teams in trade talks..." Make no mistake, catchers with 30 hr potential will always get picked up by teams that want to be the one to figure out whatever his problem is. Same with pitchers who throw 95 with little command.

    Lind 58 wRC career vs LHP, loney 83 Lind 125 wRC career vs RHP, loney 113 It's really not that big a difference overall, but clearly both of them are no better than a platoon bat that should only face RHP, and if that's the case where you're going to get a lefty masher platoon partner, you might as well stay with the guy who hits RHP better.

    TO be fair, if he'd chosen football, he'd probably be as roided up as they all are and would fit in just fine. Guys like Lawrie could probably have chosen any sport they wanted and played at a high level.

    I heard the Jays were in on McCann at 3/45 with 2 club options for 15 each again, 1m buyout.

    Yeah I don't even think Selig can try and spin the QO system into anything resembling a competitive balance system. It's just a way to try and keep salaries lower
