  1. His wOBA this year would put him 4th among qualified major league LF and tied for 4th among qualified RF. Also, his defensive value would likely go up moving from CF to LF.
  2. I agree with pretty much everything you said there except ... Gose over Rasmus... Rasmus is providing a fantastic amount of surplus value for his 4.75 million dollar contract this year, likely far more than Gose would be, and Redmond is making league minimum and only on the team due to injury. Starting Stroman's clock makes no sense from a fiscal POV in a year where they aren't competing. If you mean for 2014, then there's a bit more to the convo.
  3. It's a quality ballsack
  4. I vote for my ballsack.
  5. About time. Admit i have a bit of a local bias since he played here in Lethbridge when he was drafted, but his numbers are ridiculous for rookie ball
  6. I agree. Don't need to clean house, but with such a surplus that 1-2 arms wouldn't be missed and easily replaced, there's moves that can and should be made.
  7. Well it says no homers... So they should be allowed 1.
  8. Is there such a thing as " insufferable positive pusses?"
  9. I don't see the problem. He knows it's A problem, he's mad that it's still a problem, and blames himself for the problem. Sounds like what he should be saying. It's not like he went all JPA and is blaming the media for his problems.
  10. Hard to say, I find it hard to get any kind of read on pitchers until they get to full season ball. If Robson spends next year in Lansing, he'll be in his age 21 season, which is really the upper limit for that league. Jays take it sooooo slow with their pitchers it's nauseating.
  11. Robson's GO/AO lately is obscene. 33 GO to 4 FO over his last 4 games
  12. Kalfus would be lucky to have the minor league career Pillar has had.
  13. Quite possibly the season low today. I'd be surprised if there wasn't one of those token "players only meetings" tomorrow
  14. Absolutely. I'm remotely optimistic, but until we see this at AA or AAA, consistently keeping the walks under control while striking out his share, there's no real reason to expect anything from Drabek going forward
  15. Hoe you reported him. He clearly created this account as a vent with no intention add any meaningful discussion.
  16. It's really not. It's not good, but it's not like there isn't some reason to think that bounceback isn't possible in 2014 with a few key moves. I'm not sure AA makes those moves, but ... Can always dream.
  17. He's putting TO in the worst situation possible. Having to make an offer that you're praying will be rejected in order to try and get a pick, likely to watch some other team scoop him up on the cheap and regain his form.
  18. Trades made out of frustration and emotional responses to failure are destined to fail themselves, IMO.
  19. Retool, not rebuild. Hard to rebuild when you have nothing to sell except pen arms.
  20. Yeah, he should never be interested in due diligence, that's overrated.
  21. Minor league game but when's the last time you saw 27 runs scored without a single HR? http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?gid=2013_07_21_pawaaa_dubaaa_1&t=g_box&sid=milb
  22. Nobody can accuse Japanese pitchers of being babied.
  23. The Rays generally have to play small ball. Historically they've never been a high offense team, this year is kind of an aaberration in that regard, and have been getting by with a great pitching staff. Maddon is a good manager, but a lot of his success is due far more to the pitching staff than his playing small ball, which is really more of a necessity than some kind of brilliant strategy on his part. Friedman and their player development people have far more to do with that team's success than Maddon, IMO.
