  1. Not to be snarky but it actually is more interesting than Franceour
  2. Might I suggest the 25 man roster thread?
  3. How about Jose Tabata or Mayberry? Both are rumoured to be available
  4. I think the point the folks are trying to make, other team's guys don't need their own thread when this one is already here to discuss players and other things from Around Baseball. Jose Tabata is rumoured to be available from Pittsburgh, as is John Mayberry from Philly. If every player had their own thread, the board would become incredibly cluttered
  5. Agree here, with capable arms to take over Janssen's role and a guy like Stilson who's clearly ready to contribute in a pen role, there's really no reason not be trading Janssen. Problem is, the FO thinks Janssen is somehow not replaceable in this BS window of contention
  6. Always key for a SP, your team spots you 5, get back out there and put up a quick 0 and get the bats back out tehre
  7. Thole with a nice drive to CF, tracked down for the out but nice hard contact
  8. Hate this camera angle, it's so low you can barely see the plate, hard to see where these pitches are missing
  9. Colby with a double... Lobstein getting rocked early
  10. Edwin launches a 3 run shot, 4-0 jays and there's nobody out. Nothing like getting spotted 4 runs
  11. Back to back doubles off the wall for Reyes and Cabrera, already 1-0
  12. Ah okay. Just google it, there's usually 4-5 decent streams when the game is on Tv
  13. I don't think it's quite that bad yet, but you can see how his ability to make contact would really play against minor league pitching, but really needs to work on taking balls out if the strike zone rather than swinging and fouling them off. Pitchers don't need to throw him strikes
  14. Ump doesn't like the low ones I guess, that first pitch to the second batter looked perfect
  15. 6 innings for Redmond, so probably 90 pitch count then.
  16. The fact that he's throwing the minor league game pretty well seals the deal that he's in the rotation, not that there was much doubt before. They really want to see Redmond against a major league lineup to really get a final read on him
  17. I'm sure going to a live game would be infinitely more enjoyable than TV watching, but I just find the game unexciting on the whole.
  18. I've tried watching a couple soccer games and no matter how much I try, I just can't get into it, there's 90 minutes total of game time of running around and of that, only about 2-3 minutes total worth of action, usually taking place in 10-20 second bursts, separated by another 15-20 minutes of boredom.
  19. Defensively versatile but his bat is very suspect. After watching him last fall in his September callup he looks like a guy that can't handle big league stuff at this point.
  20. No, they just drafted him as a favor to Ricky. He never played a game in the minors at all.
  21. There's an Australian winter league that's getting more popular every year. Some Jays minor leaguers went down this offseason.
