  1. I can actually understand an argument for 5th place for the Jays in the East, but to say that theyre "far behind the other 4 teams" is just stupid. Tampa and Boston are the top tier, Yankees mid and Baltimore/TO next, but the degrees of separation are not HUGE by any means.
  2. That's what the short season leagues are for, to give college picks a place to play without having to disrupt your already playing full season league teams with a bunch of guys that probably have pitch limits for the rest of the season since they've already played a full college season.
  3. Side note, DeRozan, get that bloody mole the size of a quarter removed, i swear it has it has it's own life force
  4. And Lowry basically wins it himself in the last 5 minutes. Stud.
  5. Good job JV knock the Free throws down and keep beasting on the glass
  6. Oooooo s***, looks like a hyperextension but hopefully not a bad one
  7. Attaboy De Ro, get on that glass!
  8. Raps O is central running plays for Demar, they really need to spread it around more to keep the D honest
  9. I didn't see the start of the Game, is Amir out?
  10. DeRozan getting double teamed every time with Hayes out there, nice finish by Ross and the foul!
  11. Why is Hayes on the floor? You basically guarantee a double team on your scorers when that useless brick is out there
  12. what the s***... Casey has Ross on the floor in the 4th quarter? I must be dreaming.
  13. yup, nothing but curves and Jose doesn't even flinch... though give credit to Betances, those curves were pretty much pinpoint on the outside corner and McCann framed them perfectly
  14. I think they go offspeed here to Jose on the first pitch, they know he's always looking to pull and can get a little ahead of himself. Hopefull Jose realizes this and is waiting to crush a "get me over" curve or s***** changeup.
  15. If anything, the last few games are really exposing the Raptors bench and rebounding needs. Still a good team, but a long way to go to be great.
  16. last couple of games Lawrie has been late on his swing. his bat waggle looks a little bigger than it did at the start of ST too
  17. nice pickup by Kawasaki there, and also good thing that Texeira is slower than most catchers.
  18. f*** Jose, can expect s*** like that from Sierra but not a guy who's been playing RF in the majors for nearly 10 years.
  19. All depends how you define performance and whether you separate results from that definition. Johnson got piss poor results, but didn't actually perform any worse than his usual career numbers from the standpoint of Ks, walks, etc, while suddenly more than doubling his hr/FB rate...
  20. Yeah but mine also has the gratifying image of Pedroia getting beaned by a bloody appendage.
  21. Dustin McGowan does make the rotation and throws 150 innings before his arm literally detaches in his delivery, whacking Dustin Pedroia in the head with the bloody stump.
  22. somewhat interesting news from Houston on top prospect George Springer: A person with knowledge of the situation told the Houston Chronicle's Evan Drellich that the player's union and George Springer's agent are considering filing a grievance against the Astros. The basis of such a grievance is the idea that the Astros are only considering keeping Springer in the minor leagues to start the season to delay his service time clock from starting, which in turn affects his free agency down the line. It's not likely to have an impact -- if it's even filed -- as the Astros can point to Springer's shortcomings, such as the fact that he struck out 161 times last season in the minors, as their reasoning for keeping him down for a few more months of seasoning. Even though nothing will likely come of it, it's still a bad look for the club.
  23. Wow,,, W/L record being quoted against a pitcher... I guess that about sums about the level of argument we can expect. I mean, of course AA should be lauded for not keeping a pitcher with a poor health track record. Can't wait for him to get rid of Morrow, Happ, Janssen, Santos, McGowan, Sanchez, Delabar, Drabek, Hutchison, Rogers and Dickey. f*** it, Buerle, Stroman, Romero, Redmond, Cecil, Loup and Jeffress can handle things.
