Bautista 1-1 count, fouls it off for 1-2. Inside 2-2. Bautista rips a base hit to LF, Navarro(who wasn't pinch run for since Gibbons wants him to get more reps) is thrown out at the plate even though the throw was a bit up the 1b line, catcher had time to get it and tag out Navarro. Had it been a pinch runner, probably would have scored easily. -
Rasmus lines one foul, then kills another line drive right at the 1B for the out. Kawasaki read it perfect though and is not doubled up. 2 outs, Bautista up.

Ball to Reyes, then swinging strike 1. Takes inside ball 2. Then outside ball 3. 3-1 pitch is popped foul, out of play. Navarro on the move again on the 3-2 count, Reyes takes ball 4. Runners now 1st and 2nd, Kawasaki in to run for Reyes at 1b. Colby up.

Navarro up, bottom of the 7th. Rips a ground ball single to LF. None out, Goins up. Hit and run attempt, Navarro in motion but Goins hits a routine fly to CF. 1 out. Reyes up.

1-2 pitch to Urrutia just off the inside corner at 95mph. Next pitch fouled off. Swinging strike 3. Escapes again runners on 1st and 2nd with none out, gets two strikeouts and a runner thrown out at the plate. No Damage.

Schoop up. Sanchez gets a ground ball but Lawrie can't make the play as it's just past his glove. Melky comes up with it and guns it to the plate, Navarro takes it on 1 hop, blocks the plate once he has the ball Almanzar slides right into him for the out. Runners still 1st and 2nd, 2 outs.

Lawrie playing in expecting the bunt, but Berry gets a base hit up the middle. 1st and 2nd with none out. Weeks up. Weeks pops up a bunt attempt but Navarro cant bring it down, was a very low pop up about 3 feet to his left but can't bring it down...play definitely should have been made. 0-2 count, Sanchez throws the hammer curve for a backdoor called strike 3. 1 out.

Update on Niese from the Mets, "left elbow soreness" - flying back to NY for an MRI. LInd is up. Lind drive to 3b and Flaherty makes a leaping grab to take 1 away from Lind. 1 out. Cabrera up, tried to bunt but missed it, strike 1.

Flaherty up. Curveball slipped out of his hand for ball 1. Curve again, outside for ball 2. 2-0 pitch is another curve but this time for a strike. 2-1. 4th straight curve ball for ball 3. curve ball #5 drops in for strike 2. 97 MPH fastball dribbled back to Sanchez for the easy out at 1st. Sanchez gets out of bases loaded with none out on two dribbled grounders to the mound. No damage.

Clevenger first pitch grounder up the middle for a base hit, Urrutia held at 3rd. Bases loaded with 0 outs. Reimold up. Jones lifted at 2b for a pinch runner, Julio Borbon. Walker out to remind Sanchez he's should probably throw something other than a fastball. Sanchez gets a grounder to the mound, goes to home for the force and double play at 1st. Now 2nd and 3rd with two outs. Nice job kid.

Sanzchez vs Jones with a runner on 2b. 0 out. 96 mph swing and a miss on a 2-1 count. Now 2-2. Outside for ball 3. Full count pitch fouled off. All fastballs, down and away for ball 4.

Sanchez starts with a swinging strike 1 on Urrutia, then high for ball 1. 1-1 count Urrutia(left handed) hits one right down the 3rd base line on a good pitch from Sanchez for a leadoff double. Just flicked his bat out and barely caught a piece of the ball and it worked out nicely for him .

Edwin takes strike 1. Edwin gets sawed off and breaks his bat with a looper that looked it was going to drop in for a hit over the second baseman, but Weeks makes a great leaping grab for the 3rd out. Should be Aaron Sanchez coming out for the top of the 6th. Still 2-1 Orioles.

Bautista takes outside for ball 1. Jose rips it through the shift into LF and Reyes is able to get to third. Runners on 1st and 3rd with 2 outs. Edwin up.

Reyes, loops a base hit over third down the LF line but shallow for a single. Runner on 1st with 1 out for Gump. Rasmus shows bunt and takes strike 1. Two straight pitches way outside for a 2-1 count. Reyes draws a few throws, then takes off with the pitch, Gump fouls it off on the hit and run attempt. 2-2. Rasmus then lifts a fly ball, hits it pretty weel but wind knocks it down and results in a routine fly to LF. 2 outs. Bautista up, Reyes on first.

Was in the neighborhood of 75 pitches-80 pitches. Redmond was scheduled for 5 innings today with Aaron Sanchez to follow. Goins, Reyes, Colby due ip in the bottom of the 5th

Redmond comes back out for the 5th. Grounder to 1st bounces off the cut of the grass and Edwin has to be quick, but he gets it. 1 out.

Only down 2 at halftime is huge. Maybe Casey takes notice and realizes Ross is really feeling it and should be playing in the 35-40 minute range today, not 25.
