I don't think he blocked the plate at all. he was standing with his feet on either side of the plate and his body was directly above it. He kinda fell over on Cervelli as he slid in, but he had a clear path the whole way. -

By the way, the semantic idiot in me is coming out with the prediction of runs on Home Runs for 4/6. Say for example the Jays score a total of 7 runs on HR, that would mean they also would have scored 1, 2 3 4 5 6 and 7... so technically, the way you have it worded, anyone who picked 1-7 would be correct. You should change the wording to predict the exact or total number of runs scored on home runs. I know... It's a flaw, but with enough medication I can control it.. most of the time.

One thing I've noticed about Ross, it's almost like he's playing under so much control that he's stifled. His athleticism is off the charts but when he drives with the ball he's so deliberate in his motions. Hopefully just a product of being young and lacking the kind of confidence that only comes after being in the league a few years, but it's very evident he has all kinds of talent to spare.

Yeah, not sure how you teach pitch recognition to guys who've played baseball this long. I really do think these guys believe that every other pitch is guaranteed to be a mistake fastball and they decide beforehand whether to swing or not. -
Perhaps a blessing in disguise for Lowry to go down at this point in the season. Not that the Raps don't need him to have success, they certainly do, but playing a few games without him will force the other starters to realize what they need to do to step up their game, and maybe when he comes back, they keep the new intensity and realize they can take it to another level.
