  1. f*** ... Buck shut up about the draft and how guys that are drafted late sometime still make it. It's not the norm, quit pretending like it's commonplace
  2. And deadpool gets his 3 streak. Well done Brando
  3. Not sure why Navarro thinks he's a slugger. Looks like that bat is swinging him....
  4. I agree he's probably a smart guy. He came from a well to do family and was well educated. Baseball IQ though leaves a lot to be desired.
  5. Gose has a rocket for an arm, just not so accurate all the time.
  6. He has a good arm, not a high baseball IQ. He's patient at the plate because he can only hit balls either right over the heart, or middle in, anything else he rolls over for easy outs. A guy with a high baseball IQ would learn how to go the other way and actually make himself a lethal hitter, rather than just a dangerous mistake hitter - which admittedly he is very very good at
  7. Because it's horribly untrue? How does a guy with a high baseball IQ try to steal third with one out down by 5 and a runner on first behind you? And then run himself out of scoring position on a ground ball right in front of him?
  8. Yo, watching crushable strike one then guessing on the second pitch about 8 inches outside... Nice Jose....
  9. No more than usual. Hard not to be critical when you're watching a gong show every night with no real hope of it getting better because your GM built a 25 man roster with more holes than a golf course.
  10. Because it is, really really freakin hard? "It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't, everybody would do it." - Jimmy Dugan, A League of Their Own
  11. Not sure of Lawrie's approach there, he let the first pitch low and away go for a ball, then swings at the next pitch in basically the same spot for an easy out...
  12. Wow, royals were not getting anywhere the calls that Buerhle was. This could be interesting.
  13. Gonna go ahead and announce the picking is closed, since I don't see Dylan around.
  14. Should be walked to first but swung himself into a 2-2 count....
  15. Navarro being an idiot, free swinging when this ump has a tight zone...
  16. Gonna be a barn burner tonight, umps looks like he's not too interested in calling borderline pitches strikes. Might not bode well for Buehrle who has to nibble
  17. Game 27 Reyes (3pts) - Colby "f***ing" Rasmus (2pts) - JFaS, Jays4life19, Deadpool Bautista (1pt) - Orgfiller, jaysguy34, Chappy Edwin (1pt) - o2cui2i, baseballsss, flafson Navarro (4pts) - GD, Dylan, Wilko Francisco (2pts) - Jonn, JaysAllMighty, G-Snarls, JohnHavok - calling a fountain shot Lawrie? (1pt) - Sierra (8pts) - Thole (8pts) - Diaz (9pts) - Getz (9pts) - Gose (9pts) - LetTheBallFly Streaks Flafson going for 6 in a row! +4 Deadpool going for 3 in a row +1
  18. So basically, the exact same problems as last year. Good enough offense, garbage pitching. It's too bad nobody identified these pitching problems in the off season and did something about them. It must be a horrible shock to the FO that virtually the same pitching staff would still be a weakness.
