  1. Don't you just love it when complete retards take shots at saber, when it really just further reinforces they have absolutely no idea what they are talking about?
  2. Damn didn't get Melky picked in time. Guess ll just go with Miguel
  3. I still cant get past 6 .... taking great matchups every night and someone shits the bed. I'm going to truly double down. Taking the Cabrera boys, Melky and Miguel. Bucholz has been shite, and Miguel is facing Hughes.

  5. Ideally, yes, Stroman would spend more time at AAA and maybe have to deal with some failure there against more advanced bats than AA for longer than a month, but when the team thinks it's competing for the playoffs, you don't get that luxury.
  6. Typical Ab right there, 1 ball in the strike zone... Strike out swinging...
  7. On the plus side, the Angels are beating the Yankees even worse right now...
  8. Can't get blood from a stone. The failures of the staff are on AA's head far more than walker's. But you're right though, maybe they make him the scapegoat
  9. I'm unusually pessimistic and rant-y tonight too, but when you've been watching the Jays for the past 3 games and the complete clusterf*** they've been... I don't know what else to think
  10. And again. Wasting pitches on Gomes.... Awful pitch calling.... Need to busting these guys inside
  11. Napoli's cold zone is up and in.. Yet everything from Wganer is outer half... What scouting report are they reading?
  12. I don't even know what to say. Then with the bases loaded they're wasting pitches on Napoli... This is so far past a gong show
  13. Sp sucked, hitting has sucked, and the pen has so far sucked.... Really hard to see a comeback forming
  14. Honestly, didn't see it, that's why I put in the hypothetical
  15. Went through this already in the goins thread.... He's not getting hugely "unlucky" for his batted ball profile. You just don't want to believe the numbers. The numbers say he's maybe 3 hits unlucky on the season, and would have something like a .210 avg with a normalized babip.
  16. Yes it's likely that it will, but he'll have to actually make better contact first.
  17. His line drive rate is 12.2%. Of his 5 line drives he has 3 hits. Which is .600 babip. The avg babip on liners is .700 but thats impossible to attain on 5 line drives. Let's say that last one was a liner, then he'd have a . 500 babip and you could make the case he's been " unlucky " and should have 1 more hit. Hardly enough to justify a narrative of "quite a few well struck balls for outs"
  18. I posted something similar to this a while back, saying that young pitchers basically aren't allowed to give their arms a break anymore. Of course, coming from Dr. Andrews it carries a lot more weight.
  19. I disagree. I think the line of thinking that young players that are stressing the s*** out of their ligaments in their formative years and thus having them break more often is a pretty logical thought. Not sure how you'd prove it unless you followed a huge number of kids from the time they were 12 to 25 and compare the injury numbers on some kids who didn't throw the breaking stuff vs those who do. Problem is, how are you ever going to find kids that exclusively throw fastballs before college... It's practically unheard of now.
  20. Jose thought he was being crafty, after seeing those double steals off the Jays in the past few games. Problem is, Jose sucks at base running. Zaun made a good point though, if Jose has that constant green light thing, the jays bench should have given him the red light signs in that situation to prevent him from trying to be crafty. Yes,... I know i said Zaun is right... I feel sick already
  21. Sox must have a man in Red in the outfield stands stealing signs.
  22. Peavy has it going tonight, this is going to be a long night
