He was using it again today. Basically, he was not using it in his first bunch of starts until his last one, and said he kept getting tired around 60 pitches. Now that he's using the pump, he's not getting tired.
Just seems like a no brainer to me that a pitcher, and their medical staff, ought to have more of a clue that he should have been using one from the get go. I get why he wouldn't need one as a reliever, he would never be in the game long enough. But as a starter? ...
