It's what I was saying earlier, he's looking breaking ball but doing so means he can't adjust back to the fastball. The pitch sequencing on him tonight has been easy to pick up. Soft first pitch for strike 1, fastball strike two, the fastball off the plate for swinging strike 3 or weak contact.

Knowing what you have to do and doing it are two very different things. Maybe he just has a lot of trouble picking up the breaking stuff. Plus, if he's looking breaking ball, he doesnt really have the bat speed to adjust then punish a plus fastball. He's a guy that has to get out in front and hope he guesses right.
