  1. Yeah, the fact that Gray speared the hot shot so fast screwed everything up.
  2. Judge each play on it's own, not by how other people reacted to other plays 2 months ago. It's retarded.
  3. We need to score now too, later in the game there's pretty much two free innings worth of lefty matchups for Melvin to exploi, with only huge threats like ... Tolleson and .. Glenn....
  4. Watching Jose tonight, I don't really believe that
  5. Just lucky they're running into Texas now.
  6. What qualifies as close to the wall for you? Anything within 30 feet? it was probably 10-15 short of the warning track.
  7. Are you drunk? That ball wasn't almost to the wall.... Edwin took a bad route, he's not a good outfielder. A half competent fielder gets that ball every time. Stop blaming the pitcher for what should honestly have been scored an error. It's like blaming the pitcher for a ball that gets lost in the sun because he should have thrown a pitch that just couldn't be hit a fly. Give it up.
  8. A pitcher being delusional doesnt make him right. Once the ball leaves the pitchers hand, the results of the play are out of his control.
  9. Yeah but you just have yo push through it and hope you have the depth according to Tabler. Well, we already know the Jays don't have that depth, so when close to half your starters are limping like gimps, you tend to be f***ed.
  10. Anyone remember the last time the team was playing fully healthy? Not just like, pretend healthy with 3 or 4 guys not on the DL when they're only probably 80~85%?
  11. There you go Wilner, now will you shut up about people that don't want Edwin in LF?
  12. This will be interesting if the protest ends up being heard. I mean, I get what Melvin is pissed about, his catcher made a decision not to tag Edwin because the ump signalled Muni safe from the tag so as far as he knew, it was a force play. So if the call was wrong, why should it cost the a run? Flip side, since the call was reversed, you can't call the play dead, so the result of the play as it happened seems to be correct. Is this the first time a manager has challenged one of his own players from being safe to out?
  13. Reyes (3pts) - Melky (3pts) -o2cui2i,baseballsss,bowld Bautista (1pt) - vdub, Eddy (1pt) - Orgfiller, JohnHavok Lind (2pts) - Dylan Rasmus (2pts) - Deadpool, JG34 Juan (1pt) - Navarro (4pts) - jays4life19 Gose (8pts) - Kawasaki (9pts!) - Bench (10pts) -
  14. Probably. It's a big OF in Oakland and he needs the best defensive Cf out there with Dickey pitching and Edwin and Melky on the OF corners. maybe some of those fly balls turn into outs rather than doubles to the gap.
  15. Get into the books, there's a great mini-series on Data's resurrection through B-4 and Dr. Soong.

  17. At the risk of nerding myself, the books are much better than the movies. In the books the Borg invaded the federation and laid waste to about half of it before they were beaten back and exterminated. Great mini-series of books around it including the origin of the Borg which, was really cool. The other series as well around Captain Calhoun of the Excalibur was good, the Titan series with Riker as Captain is decent, the series I'm reading now has the president of the Federation assassinated on the new DS9 space station, the old one having been blown up by the Typhon Pact...another great series of books. f***. All my baseball cred is gone now.
  18. It's even dumber late in games... When you have fewer outs left, giving one of them away is rather silly, especially when you have a plug like Mastro coming up behind him who stinks against RHP.
  19. Happ throws the same very game, it's just a matter of how disciplined the hitters are who face him. Teams that take close pitches eat him alive, free swinging teams get eaten. He has no real command of his stuff and can't throw quality strikes consistently. He can throw them in the strike zone mostly, But lots of meatballs that some days get crushed, other days don't. He's very volatile.
