  1. I want to see Tulo actually swing at a strike. His pitch selection for swings is horrifying Even that double was a bad pitch to swing at an git stupid lucky to bad defensive placement
  2. He can't figure out how to work ball gags and whips into a normal baseball convo
  3. Here we go... low and away. Countdown to Davis oppo bomb commencing
  4. So it looks like this ump loves the inside part of the plate, but not the outer half for RHB.
  5. I really wish Martin would consistantly go back to his up the middle/oppo approach that made him a great hitter. Seeing him sellout to the pull side unless the guy throws 99 is really dragging him down.
  6. ok, nice hard single the other way and we're in business... Not that golf swing ....
  7. This is a great matchup for Smoak. But I'm not sure why he was looking for something up and away...
  8. Really sucks seing Tulo late on a 90 Mph fastball right down the middle
  9. BUCK: Chris Davis absolutely lights up when he sees the Blue Jays. Yup. Because whatever book the Jays have on him that says to pitch him down and away, needs to be burned.
  10. Pillar (7pts)- LetTheBallFly,baseballsss Donaldson (2pts)- Bautista (2pts)- vdub Edwin (3pts)- Condor13, o2 Tulo (4pts)- Angrioter Colabello (5pts)- Smoak (5pts)- intrigid Saunders - (6pts)- Spanky, JohnHavok Martin (5pts)- Jonn Thole (10pts)- Goins (10pts)- jays4life19, Candy Maldonado
  11. It's hard to be excited about the system as a whole, but my brain still considers Pompey a prospect even though he's passed the standards to make such lists. It's hard to even see more than 2 or 3 big leage regulars, but as he noted in the article, the Jays have so many guys in the 1st tier below that level, that it's probably realistic to think that a couple of them might figure it out. The next few years are going to be a test for Shapiro and comany, given the likelihood of low draft position, top talent leaving without being able to sign anyone relevant, and no real currency to trade for anyone else's stars.
  12. Lots of guys get drafted in the first round who don't even have half a sniff of the talent that warrants their draft position too though because of the idiotic nature of the MLB draft.
  13. Nailed it
  14. I hate it when Cecil faces Ortiz, he sits on the curve and gets important hits because there's no plan from the Jays aside from the curve. Just like when they pitch Pedroia away, away, away and then watch the opposite field single and wonder why it happened
  15. Jays hitters have been crap but let's be fair to Price here, he's been on the edges all day. There hasn't been much to go after
  16. f*** you're smart. Why thank you.
  17. Lefty with a s*** bat against one of the best lefties in the game... not a hard call
  18. Can see Vasquez is sitting on the change. Bust him up and in
  19. This umps strike zone is very good so far
  20. I saw a game three a few years ago. Was a cool experience outside the park in every way. Inside the park though .... honestly it's just time to let it go. I get nostalgia and history, but there's a point where you need to move on and build something modern for the good of your franchise, and they passed that point about 30 years ago
  21. That's just something you have to put up with from Bautista. Every year he will have 5-10 plays on the bases that just make you shake your head and wonder wtf he was thinking. Then you look at the 40+ homers and .380 wOBA and just let it go.
  22. Pretty sure that was a cutter for strike 3 and not a fastball
  23. Missed the game but looking at stats it's not hard to see what went wrong Indiana shot 52% from 3 and the raps turned it over 20 times with an overall 38% fg percentage. That's not gonna win many games. Raps did dominate the glass though 52 - 38
