  1. Can't really blame Bush for a decision that probably wasn't his. Sure he could have decided not to listen to his manager and go back to the minors, maybe never to be seen again...
  2. Would it have been acceptable for Bautista to charge the mound and try to take Bush's head off with a punch after the Hbp? Ignore the fact that Jose wouldn't have done it, but would that have been okay by you?
  3. Nor condoning the HBP by Bush on Bautista which was obviously intentional. Had that not happened, and the Rangers not been butthurt by a batflip, which didn't have the potential to hurt anyone or anything except people feelings, the Jose would not have felt the need to retaliate. Not defending the slide by Bautista either, because he could have chose not to do anything and be the bigger man, just that the Rangers got the ball rolling with the HBP in retaliation for hurt feelings.
  4. I don't see a lot of people defending the slide. Why are you inventing that narrative? I see more people having an issue with Odor starting a brawl and throwing punches, which is not excuseable, although understandable.
  5. Two things this playoffs has shown... Demar does not need to be retained at a max deal. Bismack is gonna get paid by someone.
  6. That was a way late slide. No excuse to start a brawl. .. but I understand why Odor wanted to get a piece of Bautista, and i get why Bautista was pissed at getting throw at and wanted to send the only mesage he could. But That's exactly the kind of slide the rule is trying to prevent. Chavez did the right thing. Hit him square in the thigh. So Chavez likely gets suspended ... Odor for sure and should be 5 games+. Will be lucky if Donaldson and Pillar don't get something light..maybe 1 game. Gibby will get suspended for coming back on the field after having been ejected...maybe Hale.
  7. I had BAUER DANNY duffy Castillo Davis Altuve Shaw Correa Bautista Mazar Bradley Jr
  8. Betances Miller and Chapman struck out 8 of 10 batters faced last night to preserve a 1 run lead. Thats a pen. Swing and miss.
  9. He's about as reliable as anyone on this board.
  10. Not really no. It's kind of a toss up as too if you want a great pitcher in a not so good situation, or a not so good pitcher in a great situation. I went with the latter this week even though my pitching did very well last week with big money guys. My hitting shat the bed hard though
  11. That's what I did too. Who knows if it will pay off
  12. I was really on the fence of taking Goins too... then waffled back to Saunders, settled on Smoak. I'll take it
  13. I can see it "Tulo for game 2 vs Rangers please" I'm sure Ltbf will see this and get your points added
  14. On paper it's a great matchup for the Jays. They should tee off on a guy like Lewis but... then their last game against him happened and they were useless. They just need to put swings on his crappy fastball when it comes and lay off the offspeed and they should be fine. Easier said than done of course.
  15. I just it the button to "reserve a spot and enter lineup later"
  16. Thing is, his value now is not what the jays needed it to be. They wanted (foolishly) to gave an ace calibre guy leading the rotation at a below market price. What they got was a mid to backend innings eater at maybe market value at best when you consider the Dickey effect, which is somewhat offset having to carry Thole.
  17. I hope we win 14 -10 with Estrada giving up all 10 in 2 innngs with no Ks and like 6 walks. But that's just my h2h fantasy league talking....I'd rather see estrada actually pitch a good game
  18. And i guarantee a guy with Pillar's numbers wouldn't be af the top of any lineup.
  19. Dont forget catching the ball.
  20. For anyone tgat played last week and is thinking to wait to accept the invite, I'd recommend going in and reserving your spot beforehand
  21. Game 38 Bonus: Double points Pillar (7pts)- LetTheBallFly Donaldson (2pts)- Bautista (2pts)- Angrioter Edwin (2pts)- Dylan, Spanky, Deadpool Tulo (3pts)- Smoak (5pts)- Candy Maldonado, Vdub, L54, JohnHavok Saunders (4pts)- Martin (7pts)- Thole (10pts)- Goins (10pts)- Carrera (10pts)- Barney(10pts)- Burns (10pts)- My first instinct was Saunders, but went with Smoak. Let see if I made the right call
  22. His wrc+ against lefties is 111 with 0 walks on the season. Not sure that's a glowing endorsement for the leadoff spot against lefties.
  23. Perfect example of why Pillar should never be in the leadoff spot. ... ever. Like... ever
  24. Just pick the longshots and hope they hit on bonus days.
