  1. Ah, yeah that makes more sense then.
  2. Depends if he's up as of day 1 or not. If he's up as of Day 1 and never sees the minors again, he would lose a year of control, and would not be super 2 because he would never have more than 2 and less than 3 YOS. That would be dumb as hell by the Jays though and has about 0 chance of happening
  3. And as he should he's attacking that same side of the plate... and of course not getting the same calls.
  4. Probably took every ounce of his composure not to get thrown out there
  5. What the f***? The DR has journalists?
  6. Lol, ball 5... but it's 3 and 2.... Gj ump
  7. No, I would say he's not a great ballplayer. Average to slightly above average at his peak but gets incredibly overrated because of old school stats like RBIs. his career wRC+ is 102. That's about as average as it gets.
  8. What the f*** are these hits? Tye exit velo combined probably wouldn't be more than 120 mph.
  9. 2 for 3 with double and triple so far tonight too...
  10. He doesn't really hit lefties all that well.
  11. Heh... OPS.... He had 1 great year in 1991, 2 average years in 1992 and 1993 with a great HR in the playoffs and was replacement level or worse in 1994-1998. For his career.. he had 2 great seasons (86 and 91), 1 good year (88) and the rest were average or crap. Carter is the poster boy for why old school stats are collectively useless. Also, defense is a thing and Carter was garbage defensively
  12. Which would of course, depend on how old the fan is and their experience with the team. There's many who still have Joe Carter as the greatest Jay ever just because of that HR, when he was really rather pedestrian for the course of his Jays career and his career overall. He really only had 2 great seasons and a bunch of average to crap ones.
  13. I'm no pitching coach, but I would guess that's probably the reason for both his inconsistent command, and the deception he creates.
  14. That was part of their reply... they indicated like 8 other combinations they would not allow, because they're Nazi f***s. CAWK, COKC, CALK, CACK, CAAK........ I can't remember them all.
  15. No radio/TV in Canada starts with W - every stations call letters have to start with C. W is in the USA on the east side of the Mississippi River... everything west of the Mississippi starts with K. I applied for a private license one year for the call letters COCK. They were not amused.
  16. This. Age/level isn't as important for pitchers IMO, but it's still important. 25 in AA with incredible BABIP luck on his side right now doesn't paint a very rosy picture for his potential as a major league starter. As far as his ERA goes... yeah... .187 babip is astronomically lucky, even as a flyball pitcher.
  17. I'm gonna do it every day now, even when he goes 0-5 with 4 Ks. Deal with it princess.
  18. PLayers of the Day: Kevin Smith, Gift Ngoepe, Jordan Romano, Vlad Jr, Patrick Cantwell, Joshua Palacios honourable mentions: Ryan Noda, Lourdes Gurriel Jr, Cavan Biggio, Angel Perdomo, Nash Knight, Ivan Castillo, Rodrigo Orozco
  19. Would it shock you to know there are 12 players in mlb slower than Morales? And yes, Pujols is one of them. Slowest in MLB is Nelson Cruz
  20. Maybe he needs the Jose Bautista leg kick hitting class.
  21. Still waiting for power though. He hit a HR yesterday but overall his power numbers are nearly non-existent. .093 ISO with only 6 extra base hits on the season so far. Yet... his K rate is slightly down and walk rate is up over last year ... but without the power he's not a useful player.
