  1. Sure its a weak SS market this offseason but are there any teams out there that actually view him as a SS going forward? His D just keeps on sliding year after year
  2. Wheeler done for 6-8 months. Needs surgery on a shoulder to alleviate a blood clot. Big blow to the Phillies for this year
  3. Can't argue with that name for a pitcher. Solid.
  4. Silvano Hecchavaria with another great start in Vancouver: 6.2 IP and only gave up 2 hits and a walk with 4 Ks.
  5. If it didnt knock anything over ... yes.
  6. Hear that? Thats the sound of everyone on this board getting an erection over Bieber. And well deserved
  7. Miami feed is on the "Fanduel Sports Network" Yup...not just gambling ads, the entire network
  8. Thats what I mean...they're ready to cut him loose aleady?
  9. Wasn't he the savior of saviors when he arrived? Baltimore fans were lining up to lick the sweat of his balls after he was called up
  10. Only guys with options were him, Little, Varland and Fluharty. Not gonna option Little or Varland... so Fluharty or Fisher it had to be. Probably just wanted to keep two lefties instead of just 1 since Lauer is the long man. There was no right answer...just the one that had to be made. He'll be back Sept 1 along with Loperfido certainly
  11. Most anticipated game of the season to date?
  12. Maybe he can transfer some of those FB tendencies to Nunez.
  13. Get the foot down early. Chop that wood. PULL DAT BALL. Done.
  14. Clearly there's a swing path issue at play here, 60% GB rate is just vomit inducing.
  15. Rainer Nunez max EV 119.6 - yes please, can I have another. Launch angle.... 2.6. I'm not a pro hitting coach but I think that may be the problem. Countdown until Nunez kills a pitcher with a line drive.
  16. Yeah it is interesting, its like he doesn'y hit an abnormally low # of fly balls, just that most of them go centre or oppo rather than pull, which isn't a great recipe for those fly balls to turn into HRs. Having not seen his swing it's hard to say if it's an approach thing, or maybe a timing thing... Where's Cito Gaston when you need him to teach a kid to get that foot down early! PULL DAT BALL
  17. Is it time to talk about Schreck as a possible legit piece? Seems like he's very similar to what Roden was doing at AAA, except Schreck has a better HR stroke.
  18. Its certainly a factor for guys who want to play close to home. Its probably more of a preference than a real deterrent. Like, if two teams are offering similar deals, similar chances to win... ease of travel would be a factor i think.
  19. When did Manfred say this?
  20. Stanifer is just killing it right now. Tied for 4th most strikeouts in the minors with some guy named Yesavage and a Yankees pitcher who has thrown 30 and 40 more innings than the 2 Jays respectively.
  21. LIttle has nasty stuff. Stuff+ of 117 on the sinker, 125 on the knuckle curve. Location ... yeah... it's pretty bad at 81. He moves that back towards even 93 like it was last season and he's untouchable. Hoffman ... Stuff+ 116 on the 4seam fastball and sinker, 111 on the slider, overall location+ is 93. Neither guy is command master. They both rely on their stuff, just ... very different stuff.
  22. Another absolute disaster start for Landon Maroudis - 0.1 IP, 2 hits, 2 BB, 4 ER, 33 pitches and only 16 strikes.
  23. I agree. 8 divisions would be silly.
  24. Definitely something that you hope doesn't happen on the bigger stage, but always a possibility. When you have nasty stuff, sometimes it gets away.
  25. Both suck. nobody that travels the amount of hours and days these guys do per year would ever say it's no big deal. West coast teams travel typically travel about double what the central teams do. It's definitely a factor. how big of a factor it is on play is certainly hard to quantify, because the best teams are still the best teams no matter where they are located, but the personal impact is probably a lot higher.
