    I didn’t hear Springer crying about the zone, and Greinke even gave him the “I got the call this time” smirk after. They all knew it was a ball except the ump. But, yeah it was close enough that’s it’s not an egregious call.

    Jays should be sitting on the breaking ball. His fastball is BP, just sit breaking ball and adjust to the heater. They should be able to identify the breaking balls out of the zone while still having enough time to hack at the fastball.

    Darft Kumar Rocker (assuming he's vaccinated) stick him in AAA for a couple weeks, then bring him up. There's no question about his stuff really.

    Id try a bridge deal first... I'm still not truly convinced that Vlad is all that interested in getting into a shape that is closer to peak than it is to.... Vogelbach. . Yes, its better than it was in 2020, but that was atrocious. He has from September to March every year to drop fat and add even a tiny bit of muscle to help keep the fat off during the season which is a cakewalk for ANYONE that is even mildly interested in doing so and has the least bit of mental discipline, not to mention a guy with access to every conceivable piece of excercise equipment, trainers and nutrition experts to guide him. I dropped 150 pounds over 2 years. Anyone can do it. He should be easily down to 210 every offseason.

    It's really weird how this team struggles vs lefties. Career wise Vlad has actually never hit lefties well, so that's not surprising as much. Chapman, Kirk and Teoscar are actually hitting lefties well this year, Gurriel, Bo and Springer and really underperforming their career numbers though. Tapia blows against lefties, no shock there. Jansen is abotu in line with his career numbers but his low # of PAs so far doesnt really move the needle. Espinal is murdering lefties this year, but with such a small career sample size youd actually be expecting some regression there. Biggio, underperforming his career #'s but again, a pretty small sample size oif just 27 PAs.

    i was okay-ish with Banda to the lefty to end the inning, but dont think he should have been starting the next one.

    Not sure, but he’s the third fastest Blue Jay when it comes to sprint speed. Tied for third actually with Springer at 28.4 fps, just a few ticks below Teoscar 28.6 and Zimmer of course being the fastest at 29.4. League average is 27.
