  1. Feels like this will be a double, or a double play
  2. Let’s go Capitan Kirk, let’s see why you’re gonna start the AS game
  3. Has the zone been this terrible all game long? That pitch from Cimber was like 3 inches off the ground and called a strike
  4. Espy has been hot garbage the past few weeks with the bat.
  5. Clearly the BLue Jays nation is out in full force stuffing the ballot box. Love to see it
  6. Guess we gotta hope nobdy hits anything to CF. The worst OF defender out in CF...Would Teoscar not be a far better idea for these games? I get they dont want to take the new Babe Ruth out of the lineup right now, but ... CF?
  7. no doubt. Obviosuly they didnt get enough walks with RISP
  8. I dont give a flying rabbit s*** how well Tapia has been hitting in the past few weeks, he should never hit higher than 9th.
  9. Best team in the AL that isnt the rest of the AL East or Houston.
  10. It's weird you mention that about his pants, I actually thought that same thing (just not the dick part) watching him pitch yesterday. Must not be any pants in his size in the locker room.
  11. Side note on yesterdays game though, he really did look like a deer in the headlights against the Yankees hitters. His body language, facial expressions and glacial pace between pitches an step-offs was definitely not giving the impression he had any confidence in his own stuff yesterday. Part of the last incremental change is probably between the ears. like Crash Davis says to Nuke when he got called up "You be cocky and arrogant, even when you're getting beat. That's the secret. You gotta play this game with fear and arrogance." All we saw yesterday was fear. Need the arrogance quotient to ramp up a bit and get closer to the "f*** it, im beating you because I'm awesome" attitude of Manoah.
  12. And as if Mike Trout wasn’t already easily the best player of the last …century or so, he just became the first player to hit 4 game winning HRs in a series Not walkoffs of course since the series was in Seattle but the game winning runs scored on his HRs in 4 of the 5 games.
  13. How you think Tapia is in the lineup in any kind of Zobrist-like deployment makes by brain hurt.
  14. There’s no basis for this opinion, even if he was ever wanted in a trade, they’d need to either provide his recent physical results or the team acquiring him would get their own done before doing the deal, and they’d find out whatever his problems were. Pretending an injury doesn’t exists provides no advantage to the Jays whatsoever.
  15. I was listening on the radio when the announcers were talking about it and they said “he threw a pitch, then as the pitch was caught he immediately put his glove over his face, screamed into the glove and called for the trainer” The way it sounded was he screamed into the glove like he knew it was yet another long term injury.
  16. It might just be wishful thinking but there’s clear times in the games where he’s able to locate the fastball in the zone and easily blows guys away. His slider, when properly working off an effective fastball can be good. His change/splitter is a good pitch too, though he hasn’t really thrown it much lately, and should probably be throwing it more. Todays game, it was clear pretty early his fastball command was bad, the Yankees were sitting slider and because they knew it was coming could easily take or swing away depending how it looked out of his hand. He needs to work that changeup in more and he needs to get that fastball under control. It doesn’t even have to be impeccable command where he dots the corners with it at will, just a solid non-meatball strike kind of command. He’s not that far off from being a 5th starter that throws like a 2-3, but as always its the last incremental adjustment that he and Walker need to figure out to make that happen. There’s not many 5th starters in baseball with his talent and upside. Most of them are already at their ceiling and just eating innings and hoping not to give up 4 runs over 5ish. His talents are plain to see, and with the team winning despite his erratic performances he’s going to be given every opportunity to get it right, especially now with Ryu probably done as a Jay. In any case, he won’t be seen in the playoffs anyways except maybe out of the pen because Manoah, Gausman and Berrios are clearly the top 3 the team will be counting on in any series.
  17. If you follow mlb on yahoo they’ll have a highlights package you can watch, takes about 7 minutes and usually tells the story quite well
  18. Kikuchi isn’t Ray, he can’t be a 2 pitch fastball/slider guy. He needs that third pitch. He threw a couple really good splitters early,
