  1. The most clear need on the pitching side is swing and miss in the pen. The most glaring need for position players is addition by subtraction with improved defense in mind. The offense can take a hit and still be top 5 in the league next season. There’s lots of dead weight to be cut, some pieces to be moved and bigger fish to bring in.
  2. I don’t think there’s much doubt at all he will be extended. He managed the exact same team as Montoyo to a .622 winning percentage after his promotion. That’s not a guy you fire because your team s*** the bed in a playoff game.
  3. Clearly. We’ll point to his 16 HR decline from last season as evidence of this new focus on HRs.
  4. All of you have such limited vision. Blow up the RC and move the team to Vegas
  5. Man I hate being this right
  6. Can someone please murder that moron whistling every 2 seconds?
  7. Seattle hitter game plan is very easy to see, and they're all late on the fastball so far. Using that fastball in 2 strike counts a bit more often might be a good idea
  8. And that will be the end of my gut feelings.
  9. Ray's pants are nowhwere near as tight as last season.
  10. Lunchbox, Romero and Ernie Whitt .... not exactly who I would pick as party hosts for Jays alums, but still kinda cool i guess.
  11. Yup can see the Mariners are just taking everything low thinking its a splitter. Pump that fastball in there early and this will be a great game for Gausman
  12. ZLove it when Gausman uses that 97+ fastball and can spot it for strikes, Makes that splitter so much more devastating when the hitter has to respect the heat.
  13. Best defensive IF on the roster, boots a routine grounder. hopefully it doesnt hurt.
  14. Jays have to be ready for Ray's sinker. He's started throwing it 20% of the time this year versus.... like 5 times total all of last season.
  15. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/mlb-2022-regular-season-attendance-dropped-5-7-percent-from-2019-campaign/?fbclid=IwAR2EIZlrFdKfMN_74HWdygGH9lGDyZXLenqikGpXRkWV0Pcl6uL2W4NFyVw Overall MLB attendance down 5.7% from last full season
  16. Even more reason the Jays should be able to increase payroll as needed in the next few years. They're pulling in money for Rogers hand over fist via all the advertising increases. It's separate in the books, but they all know where it's coming from.
  17. Are the Jays really that heavily favored? I think it's a lot closer than that
  18. i wonder what the Vegas odds are on Tapia being the WC MVP
  19. I also hope to be wrong and he does play well, or that his ******** suckage doesnt end up mattering because we're already stomping a mudhole in them.
