    The thing is, the Jays played it completely wrong in their haste which was the only reason they had a chance at the triple play. Pendleton, who started at 1b on that play with Sanders at 2b, went all the way around second and PAST Sanders who was actually holding up to see if White would catch it or not, so Pendleton was already out. The cutoff man (alomar) had no reason to throw back to 1b to get Pendleton, but because they did.... Sanders, who was tagging at 2b, tried to advance to third so Olerud then threw it over to Gruber who ran down Sanders and the ump botched the call. Had Alomar just gloved the throw from White and walked it in without throwing to first needlessly, there would not have even been a chance at the triple play.

    jays that can play CF - Varsho, Springer, KK, Merrifield and Lopez Jays that can play the corner OF - all of the CF, plus Biggio 3b -Chapman, Espinal and to far lesser extent if there’s an emergency Biggio. SS- Bo, Espinal, Lopez 2b - Merrifield, Espinal, Biggio, Lopez 1b- Vlad, belt, Biggio C - Jansen, Kirk, Varsho Every position has at least 3 guys that can play it

    I don’t think they all need to be exact, but there shouldn’t be a massive difference in the distance from home plate to any wall of the outfield. The fact that some parks you can hit a HR that’s like 30-40 feet shorter than the same spot in another park makes little sense. Not mandating an exact footage is fine but at least legislate a minimal range of distances to the corners, power alleys and dead centre. It’s not impossible to add character to a ballpark without massively screwing with wall distance and height

    Not that you can really have too many, but with Biggio, Merrifield, Varsho, Espinal and probably Lopez…I think they’ve got the utility positions covered nicely.

    What? His defense in OAA has been 100th percentile, 76th, 80th and 90th from 2019-2022. Cumulatively over that time, he's 4th in runs prevented for all outfielders behind Bader, KK and Grisham. That's not what I'd call "sucks"

    I think Alford would have been fine if he gave up on football earlier. Guy only had like 100 PAs over his first 3 minor league seasons total. He still hit half decent in the KBO last year.

    With his GB rate, the walls would have to be 10 feet away from the plate to really matter for him.

    Im cheering for the kid based on this picture alone. If his agent can't get him a Crest or Colgate endorsement, he should be fired.

    Pearson being a shut down reliever would just be gravy at this point, f***er just cant catch a break with his health. And, realistically, where on the field do the Jays even need a prospect to come up and fill a gap? The entire position player roster is fine, SP is 4 deep for multiple years. Only FAs after this season are Belt, KK, Ryu, Cimber, Chapman and Bass. Chapman easily the biggest loss there and even if Barger doesn't take the step forward, just sign Machado

    Probably not, but hey at least all the whiners that complain about the park not having any kind of signature and are bored by the round cookie cutter dimensions can all have a nice tall glass of shut the hell up now.

    the dimension changes were to accommodate the new bullpen designs. Wall height to help compensate for the distance changes.

    And a perfect place for him to go to, an org that already values internal development, blends scouting and analytics near perfectly, and is always ahead of the curve.

    I cant find a Devon White with #19 which he wore for one season before switching to 25. White was given #19 but knowing that McGriff was just traded and was highly respected in Toronto he opted to switch to #25 at some point during the season.

    Texas traded him too to the Sox for Sam Travis. Seriously, wtf is it about Tampa that see a guy, get him for peanuts and turn him into a 1/2 starter within 2 seasons? f***ing withcraft.
