  1. That was a check swing, but ... yeah one of those 50/50 calls from a guy 100 feet away
  2. Wow Buck, Barger is looking like a pretty good ballplayer but to call him a "budding superstar" might be overstating it just a weeeeee bit
  3. BUT I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY THEY DIDNT RE-SIGN TEOSCAR _ HE HITS HOMERZ SOMETIMES AND STUFF
  4. Kirk clearly wasn't picking up that pitch very well. He just got it over and over again
  5. Uncharacteristically weird AB from Kirk chasing all those low pitches. Fouled some off though to extend it a bit but overall that was pretty weird looking for him
  6. The finer point of this post is that the managers decisions are being judged by idiot fans that probably have less than 1 % of the information at the managers disposal and are mostly made up of incessant whining and hindsight.
  7. C-Bass out there throwing 91 amd getting outs. Ya love to see it
  8. I'd be tempted, but if he does he and Lauer are pretty much both unavailable till game 6. Unkess Bassitt throws 3 innings in under 30 pitches or something which I dont think he can do
  9. Its one of those things... if the injury is bad enough to get shelved, that is objectively terrible. But, if they remove him they can add a pitcher. But there's 0 people that want that. Everyone wants Springer to be game ready and good to go.
  10. If both are healthy, there's no reason to expect anything less than their career norms. Whether or not the Jays were able to "cover up his injury" (or their injuries in this case) has no relevance on each player's expected performance. That's a credit to the Jays, not some indictment of the player and how unimportant they are. I know you weren't saying they were unimportant, that's for the other f***wits that think Varsho should have been traded at the deadline because they were winning without him
  11. He was fine directly after. He pitched great today. I cant even call the Smith HR a mistake pitch, he just hit it out. Kinda like the Judge HR off Varland in the DS that was an even better pitch... sometimes they just get them. That's baseball.
  12. Absolutely. Yamamoto is a killer, he's been at the top of his game and was virtually unhittable tonight. s*** happens. On to game 3
  13. I thought people wanted more classic pitcher's duels? Ya got one.
  14. Stand up to cancer ... sure. This delay between innings for a quick mini-concert is dumb
  15. clement also goes on long stretches of being useless. He's in a nice hot stretch right now though which is all that matters. Did people think we were gonna score 11 runs every game and all the Dodger's starters are just trash? Yamamoto fills the strike zone, he doesnt get hit hard often. He misses barrels and gets a ton of ground balls. He's not an easy pitcher to string hits together on. He's not like Snell who you can wait out.
  16. Yeah, they should just let all these strikes go by instead of swinging.
  17. Gaus vs Yamamoto gonna still be going into the 7th or 8th at this rate.
