  1. This game has 3 gems on D. KK, CHappy and Springer
  2. Umps gonna ump. Ah well, let’s light up the pen now please
  3. Ump trying his best to give the Mets some baserunners, wow
  4. And now suddenly the strike zone shrinks…
  5. f*** sakes. credit to Verlander I guess…that slider was sick
  6. f***ing ump man….screwed Belt on ball 1… when you give a guy like Verlander two extra inches all around…no wonder
  7. Dang, got what he wanted, but missed it
  8. Sorry bro, copied my old post rather than yours, no ill intent meant! And yeah, I looked up the matchups and career numbers against Verlander and only Springer actually had done well, so switched it up during the rain delay
  9. Honestly don’t know, obviously they talk a lot but the content would be cool to be a fly on the wall for sure. ON one hand, you could certainly understand that players probably don’t want to go out of their way to tell other guys how to do their thing, given they’re all there already for a reason. But at the same time, it’s gotta be hard to bite your tongue when Stevie Wonder could tell what Vlads problem is.
  10. If we could transfer Belts plate discipline into Vlad….my god.
  11. Mets channeling their inner Blue Jay right there
  12. Springer Dinger! Abom, John_Havok +2 +1 Varsho in the 9th for +2 to wilko
  13. June 2 Bichette - 1 Point - Spanky Vladdy - 2 Points - Jonn Chapman - 2 Points - Omar Varsho - 2 Points - wilko Springer - 2 Points - Abomination, John_Havok Belt - 3 Points - Dylan, Jays4life19 Kirk - 4 Points - JaysAllMighty Merrifield - 5 Points Kiermaier - 6 Points - Candy Maldonado Off the bench: 10 Points
  14. There would be zero reason for Arizona to do that if they saw Carroll as the cornerstone. Would be no different than some team coming in 2019-2020 off-season and checking on Bo, when the team is clearly in the upswing with multiple young well above average pieces they want to build around. No team gonna move those kinds of players and set themselves back a year or two. The first thought of course is well what if they offered X, Y and Z from their farm + a really solid on field guy….and the answer is any team looking to acquire young cornerstones likely don’t have anything like it to offer back, or they wouldn’t be looking for the young corner stone to begin with….or they’re in the same position as the team they’re trying to get the cornerstone from, which makes for bad trading matchup in the first place.
  15. June 2 Bichette - 1 Point - Spanky Vladdy - 2 Points - Jonn Chapman - 2 Points - Omar Varsho - 2 Points - wilko Springer - 2 Points - Abomination Belt - 3 Points - Dylan, Jays4life19, JohnHavok Kirk - 4 Points - JaysAllMighty Merrifield - 5 Points Kiermaier - 6 Points - Candy Maldonado Off the bench: 10 Points
  16. Nah, theyve got him fixing 2 of the 3 problems, theyre likely wanting to see that 3rd problem start to trend up before they do that.
  17. No offense is missing Teo's bat right now, he's marginally better than Varsho so far. This offense had Gurriel Jrs bat for 5 years, and only approached his current performance in the COVID shortened season. He's worse defensively this season, and still a bad baserunner. So, yeah I guess you could say the offense missed LGJ's bat, but it doesn't miss the total package at all. even taking fWAR as perfect (which we all know it isn't...) there's 1 win difference between the 2 players a third of the way through the season. LGJ also hasnt slumped yet and Varsho hasnt heated up yet. The end of season numbers will be close enough (hopefully) that people will forget this was ever a thing.
  18. Interesting. though i guess some of the offensive numbers also don't account for spray angle, just launch angle also.
  19. First 5 star catch??? Man, if taking away a HR that's over the wall that needs a perfectly timed jump and hang isnt also a 5 star...
  20. Just sayin, the Blue jays in 30 min really stretched it out. This game really could have been Blue Jays in 7-10 mins. Really uneventful overall. Sure, great pitching from Gausman and a great catch by KK. It's hard to re-watch a pitching performance unless it's live, it really loses alot of the importance
  21. Not to ruin it for ya, but after the 1st, just skip to the 9th.
  22. LIke isaid, if it's down to the point where it's that or surgery, sure. But for people wanting to take shortcuts that aren't in a medical weight loss crisis, not a good idea.
  23. There's the odd day where you could do it against certain lefties, but Merrifield is a 7,8,9 guy at this point in his career. Same for KK, can lead him off sparingly against the odd righty when he's hot, but there's no real justification for those guys hitting ahead of the other hitters in this lineup on anywhere close to a regular basis.
