  1. Whit would be fortunate to get 2/20 with a 3rd year option at his age with his limited power imo.
  2. Mayza having trouble getting his sinker down in the zone recently. Except those last two pitches to Thaiss. Painted!
  3. I’m not sure we’re giving enough credit to Merrifield on that HR…100 mph up and in…put out to CF. Jesus
  4. More like a decline and re-sign to multi year thing. That option would be dumb to pick up as is
  5. Jays haven’t played a double header recently…when was this?
  6. Maybe. Who knows? If relievers could get outs it wouldn’t be a problem. And f*** yes Merrifield!
  7. Or if Swanson had given it up…terrible call to put him in…should have kept Gausman in…ace and stuff…some people bitch just to bitch.
  8. Last week they were all arguing you have to stay with Gausman even if he’s struggling. he’s the ace. What’s different this week?
  9. Not sure how you got that out of my statement. I’m waiting for the daily bullpen critics to come out of the woodwork and show their irrational whining The pull was 100% valid
  10. Nice. I don’t think I could take it if a guy with the last name of “Cabbage” did damage
  11. Hopefully Swanson gets a K…double play…IF fly….anything
  12. Can’t wait for all the “Schneider sucks at bullpen management” guys to show up and say he should have been pulled earlier, whilst last week arguing that he should have been left in because he’s the ace, gotta ride him.
  13. Gausman looks like he’s lost the zone with his fastball. Might be time for the hook
  14. f***ing apple tv ******** tonight too isnt it
  15. Kendall Graveman back to the Astros The White Sox estate sale continues.
  16. How the f*** you got that out of what I posted is amazing.
  17. ON the Dodgers/White Sox Nightengale says the Lynn part is now done, though it’s unclear if that also includes Kelly. Jon Heyman of The New York Post says the Dodgers are finalizing a deal for both Lynn and Kelly. James Fegan of The Athletic confirms that Kelly is indeed in the deal. Jeff Passan of ESPN reports that the White Sox will receive pitching prospects Nick Nastrini and Jordan Leasure, as well as outfielder Trayce Thompson.
  18. No rumours around on stroman but... "Andy Martino of SNY reports that the Mets have thus far received “moderate” interest in Verlander but have not had meaningful enough talks to even approach the three-time Cy Young winner about waiving his no-trade clause. Scherzer has drawn less interest, per Martino."
  19. Bob Nightengale of USA Today now reporting that the Dodgers are cautiously optimistic about getting a deal done for both him and Joe Kelly. Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic adds that the two sides are close to an agreement. No details have been reported of what the White Sox would receive in return. Lynn has a 10-team no-trade clause, with the Dodgers on it, but Joel Sherman of The New York Post reports he’s willing to waive it.
  20. Through July 26, 2023 in baseball history, and since 1876 (first year of the National League), there have been a total of 20,448 Major League ballplayers. For perspective, if you then were able to take every one of those MLB players and put them as fans in Rogers Centre is still wouldn't even quite be half filled.
  21. You're right that bonus amounts would be a silly evaluation tool, but as a team who just spent that much money on him, I wouldn't be trading him 6 months into his development. After spending that much to get him, I'd want to be the one to develop him, at least for the first 2-3 seasons for sure. That said, if he was a side piece in a more blockbustery type of deal, like for a trade involving someone like Luid Robert Jr coming back... sure. But certainly not as a piece in a rental reliever trade.
  22. Fangraphs calls him the right handed Joey Wendle.
  23. well from 2016 , there's a 5 WAR SS, couple of backup position players, back of the rotation starter, a couple relievers and a few cups of coffee 2017 - 1 legit starting 1B, 2 backup/AAAA position players, 2 relievers, 1 cup of coffee. 2018 - 4 cups of coffee 2019 - 1 SP and 1 cup of coffee Not much to discuss beyond 2019 since the 2020 draft was only 5 rounds and virtually no picks from 2020 or later have made the majors yet. Torkelson and Detmers off the top of my head. This also ignores the international free agents he signed that include 2 All Star positions players.
