It's definitely the same type of skill, but probably different enough. Like, I don't think I would expect prime Josh Donaldson or Chappy to have well above average jump times if they moved to the OF. I could be wrong though.

I dunno, i think getting a jump on flyballs is probably quite different than a quick reaction at 3b. In the OF he could be taking that extra half second before starting his route because he doesnt read the fly balls well... at 3b you dont have to do that since youre just reacting, you dont have time to judge anything. It's really hard to say since he was moved off 3b early on due to the Cards not thinking there was much point in him continuing there since he was never going to play 3B for them at the ML level with Arenado around. His rush to the OF was largely due to him murdering baseballs and them wanting that bat in the lineup ASAP, and they only position they could get that to happen was the OF.

There have been some instances this year where he’s backhanded a grounder deep near the third base line and fired a rocket over to first base, but most of his routine throws are casual lobs over to first. It's true, the Cards moved him from 3b midway through 2022 since Arenado was going to be the only guy playing 3B for the next 5 or 6 years. He has a rocket for an arm, was clocked at 99-100mph recently on throws in from RF so his arm out there isnt the problem, it's mainly his jumps, routes... and everything that isn't his arm.

No doubt, if anything he should be not-so-delicately stating that he's open for business, listening to all offers no matter what, while also stating he may be moved, he may not be. but he's a f***ing idiot

I mean it’s an understandable viewpoint…when you have a guy that’s pitched like a solid 2, borderline 1 but non-ace for 6 of 7 seasons, that equals a 4/5 pitcher.

There’s going to be backlash regardless of when he leaves, the only decision Morono needs to make is whether he gets something back to offset that backlash or not. It’s the most no brainer move in MLB right now. It’s not really possible to win the trade either, you’ll never get an Ohtani back in the trade, but the right trade might get you 3-4 guys that could build around.

When you have a team that’s hasn’t had a sub .500 record since 1992, and only missed the playoffs 4 times since 1995, winning the division 14 times since 1994…. it would be very difficult to not have some kind of that though.

The Draft penalties are: A team that outspends its pool by 0-5 percent pays a 75 percent tax on the overage. The international signing penalties are: international pool money was scaled based on the previous season's standings. Teams that get those small market comp A picks in the draft also get more 500k more pool money, and Comp B teams get an additional million.

Almost all the high school guys are committed to one university or another. Yet, the majority of them sign if they're drafted. It's truly best to just ignore any rumours pre-draft about high school kids. THe narratives are obvious, their family will always say they are "100%" committed to University X to ensure the MLB teams they talk to are the ones that really have a shot to give them the money they want, or to ensure the team they want to play for is the one that takes them.
