  1. I'll take that, especially with the horrendous strike call to start the AB.
  2. Better than the Red Sux
  3. I wouldn't mind another HR here.
  4. Ramirez could have had a shot at that ball, but he didn't run hard right from the start.
  5. A rare Jackie Bradley hit can't be squandered. Come on Georgie!
  6. Good hack from Cavan, but perfect positioning, as per usual.
  7. I would probably say yes, but I may still start Berrios in a game 3 if it's a good matchup, given Stripling's experience in the bullpen.
  8. Two consecutive strikeouts taken away by bad calls. Yikes!
  9. If he would pitch around those guys, the bottom half of the lineup is total dogshit, but he's giving them meatballs over the plate.
  10. Kirk and Teo on the bench today. Biggio at 1B and Vlad DH.
  11. He's going to play a key role in a couple of playoff games. Those guys are always important.
  12. Their entire outfield is a defensive nightmare. Jimenez, Sheets, Vaughn, Pollock, Robert. They are all absolute butchers out there this year. No wonder Cease tries to K everyone.
  13. I noted baserunning and defense because they can be important factors in a team's success. I wasn't making a direct comparison to the Blue Jays. If you want to go that route, we should note that the Blue Jays are the best hitting team in the American League and are in a virtual tie for the #3 pitching staff with Tampa and Cleveland. With a balanced schedule, an average pitching and hitting team like the Mariners would see their poor baserunning and defense be more exposed. Just look at the Chicago Whote Sox.
  14. I was taking a look at the Mariners stats and it's pretty shocking that they are actually in a playoff position. For all of the talk of their pitching, it's average or below by fWAR, ranking 16th in the league. They are also decidedly below averge defensively and on the basepaths at -4.6 and -8.9, respectively. The offense is a tick above average, but they get there with a piss poor .229 batting average. Anybody with complaints about the Jays offensive approach should watch the Mariners. It's hard to argue that this isn't just a .500 team with an extremely easy schedule. Next year I can't wait to get a bigger piece of those s***** West opponents.
  15. They're just downplaying the importance of the series, the rivalry, the intentional HBP, etc. Typical athlete stuff, but they're smirking and stuff, making it obvious that they are lying.
  16. It's hilarious watching these post game interviews. It's good that they are pro baseball players because lying isn't their best skill.
  17. Romano really stepping up when we need him. He's really shut up the haters like jaysblue.
  18. There was a lot of Jose Bautista in that at-bat. He knows they threw at his head and gave them a big FU, Darren O'Day style.
  19. I'm shocked they didn't have a fielder there. That should be a hit every. single. time.
  20. 93.5 mph fastball according to gameday.
  21. Which of Berrios' breaking balls are 94 mph?
  22. I'd love to see the comments about Jason Adam when he was with the Jays.
  23. Time for the block list, see you never again.
  24. First time I've noticed poor home plate umpiring tonight. He was pretty good before that.
