  1. It's shocking how weak humans can get when they only see ideal weather. You even see it with snowbirds that have lived in Canada their whole life.
  2. Rain, rain, go away Come again another day If you don't, I don't care We'll still crush the Mariners
  3. They have the same record as we do, which may surprise some.
  4. Whit Merrifield hitting .400 with a 238 wRC+ since the double header against the Rays. If that keeps up in the playoffs, this trade will rate as an absolute steal.
  5. It should be noted that Manoah could start a potential game 3 on 3 days rest.
  6. They have 3 good starters to throw at us, but this lineup is just hitting anyone right now. Fastball, slider, changeup, they are crushing everything. I think we score runs mo matter who we face if the lineup continues to hit like this. On top of that, Castillo and Ray are types that we usually succeed against.
  7. Robbie Ray, lined up as game 2 starter in the wildcard, gives up 3 home runs and 6 runs to the 102 loss Athletics. Bring him on. Mariners being no-hit is not a huge surprise. They have good patience and power, but are hitting an almost incomprehensible .214 as a team since August 20th.
  8. 4-0 now. That lineup has been horrendous lately. I hope it keeps up going into the playoffs.
  9. Gilbert is lined up to pitch game 162 according to their manager.
  10. The league's top 2 catchers in terms of wRC+ are Danny Jansen and Alejandro Kirk.
  11. I don't understand why they didn't challenge. That bad decision cost us at least a run and perhaps a lot more.
  12. I want to say this is all good hitting, but Bello is just feeding them straight fastballs over the plate.
  13. My MLB app told me Vlad hit a 2 run HR, so at least he has an imaginary hit.
  14. Love the aggression from Tapia. He caught the defense off guard.
  15. 7 hits and 8 outs. They are really teeing off on Bello, but just need to string them together.
  16. If this guy is the future of Boston's pitching staff like all of the pundits say then they are in a lot of trouble.
  17. Los Angeles has 48 losses against the entire league. Boston has 48 losses against the AL East.
  18. Whatever time is the least desirable in terms of television ratings is when the Jays will play. Dan Shulman said as much during the broadcast.
  19. Whit Merrifield looks more like his regular all-star version with every passing game. Castillo hasn't done much in KC, but is still young.
  20. Is swing% something that drops throughout a career or is it pretty stable? Both of these guys are very young.
  21. I most certainly wouldn't write the Rays off. They have as much playoff experience as any team and a huge amount of versatility. Nobody should want to face them.
  22. The 21 games of postseason experience in our rotation vs 1 for Seattle is an important factor for me. It always shows in the playoffs at some point. We can discuss top 4, but top 3 is all that matters for either team and that's clearly advantage Blue Jays. Gausman and Manoah are the two best pitchers that either team has to offer, without question. Also, how can we forget Stripling's performance since June 1st? It's been better than any Seattle starter in terms of ERA and FIP. I'm not saying he is better, but the performance has been there.
