  1. It's possible that our entire division and both division leaders lose tonight. They are all losing now.
  2. I think using resources on Duran or Clase would benefit us more than adding Suarez, but he's definitely an option.
  3. I wouldn't say no to adding him, but I really don't think I'm not a 3B is the right for here with Barger and Clement around. We need a right handed corner outfielder, if anything.
  4. Boston loses, Detroit loses, Tampa losing, Yankees losing.
  5. Duran and Bader would be an awesome deadline.
  6. He was better than usual, but there have been several starts where he was just as good and didn't have the same success. The obvious difference tonight is that they weren't able to tell when a fastball or splitter was coming, so he was able to successfully use the low fastball to get ahead of hitters and set up the splitter as an out pitch. In his poor starts where he also had good command, they would attack low fastballs and lay off the splitter because they know it's coming.
  7. It's fascinating how Gausman can have the same stuff, same velocity, and same command in two starts, but one looks like this, and the other they light him up. It will be fascinating to hear him reflect on tipping pitches after his career comes to a close. I've never watched a pitcher where it played a bigger role in their success/failures.
  8. This must be driving Yankee fans insane. That makes me happy.
  9. I actually feel bad for Rodon, just a little bit.
  10. Tip of the cap from Rodon to DS, I like that.
  11. Twelve pitch at-bat is awesome. Keep it going Davis.
  12. Hill might be unavailable after pitching the last 2 nights. Devin Williams as well.
  13. Do a hit and run here or something. Just get them over.
  14. All fastballs until that last one. Interesting strategy.
  15. No chance to go there, even if it wasn't Kirky.
  16. Brutal Schneider. You can't be doing that.
  17. There will be a lot of right handed outfielders out there at the deadline. I'd like to see us add a cheap one. Bader, Ward, Hays, Laureano, Pham.
  18. This upcoming stretch of lefties is Schneider's chance to make a case to be that right handed bat we need at the deadline.
  19. I like Soto as a second lefty who brings a different look than Little. As for Dominguez, I think we have better options in-house. We should aim higher.
  20. Hopefully Gausman can avoid tipping his pitches today. The stuff looks good, but he's never effective when opponents know what is coming.
  21. Make the Yankees hurt so bad that they sell at the deadline.
  22. The top 10 are ostensibly all signed, If we do a bit of guesswork and say that Snow, Watts, and Ligon get $5000 each, we can come up with a possible bonus for Jared Spencer, which would be $707,030. It seems light, but he is a senior and has few options. The rest of the guys get $150k, take it or leave it.
  23. I think that's exactly right. Peeples was a contingency plan. With about 900k in possible savings (presuming Cook and Piasentin sign for slot), I'd expect the majority of that to go to Jared Spencer.
