    We can only assume that Pillar had trade value that corresponds to his projections and salary, which was a lot more than we got. The fact that he has struggled with SF is irrelevant at this point. If you are right and Law turns into something then that's great, but he has pitched like crap and isn't a major league calibre pitcher in my opinion.

    Dads should have went to Chicago. I saw Vlad hit a bomb and the kids had a blast.

    I probably would have kept him until we had another capable outfielder in the organization. At that point, I would have prioritized a real prospect over guys like Law and Hansen.

    To put the Pillar trade into the good category is questionable. He had some real trade value and also had value to the current club. Trading him for absolutely nothing isn't terrible, but it isn't good by any stretch of the imagination.

    It means a lot because it makes me miserable when the Jays lose. Winning should always be the number 1 goal in baseball more than any other sport because of the volatile draft.

    I wanted to try their new section. There is a bar adjacent to the Jays bullpen. We had a good chat with Alex Andreopoulos and Joe Biagini during the 5th inning and Ken Giles gave my nephews a ball during the stretch.

    White Sox game day staff isi ridiculous. They announced 3 times that the game would resume and it stopped raining half an hour ago. Why is it cancelled?

    I sure picked a good day to travel to Chicago and watch the Jays. Hopefully tomorrow and the Cubs game on Monday are drier.

    A playoff calibre roster and average farm system? Heck of a mess. I understand that there were some serious issues with roster construction, but they weren't inheriting the Orioles. It was a pretty good situation all things considered.
