  1. What a disgusting display at the plate. Hopefully this is the low point of the season.
  2. Same here. What am I supposed to watch at work now?
  3. He sounds close from what Atkins has said. Roark might not have much of a leash with Zeuch pitching so well.
  4. That's kind of what you expect when you trade for a guy in September. They were trading for an MVP calibre player over a short period and got exactly that.
  5. Donaldson was an elite performer for the Indians, with a 147 OPS+.
  6. Vlad doesn't swing at that if the umpire is making the right calls.
  7. I made no comment on his potential in the quote that we are discussing. If you can show me that you pegged him as an elite reliever at the time of the trade then I will be perfectly willing to commend your baseball acumen. It's hilarious how you guys single me out for having the overwhelmingly common opinion at the time.
  8. I get this isn't a super reputable site, but it's a flashback to a point in time where Julian Merryweather was a DFA candidate. It's been brought up many times by media and fans alike. https://www.google.com/amp/s/jaysfromthecouch.com/2020/01/27/should-the-blue-jays-dfa-julian-merryweather/amp/ The Indians traded him because they had an upcoming roster crunch and he was on the bubble. I commend our FO for recognizing his potential, but it doesn't change the facts of the trade. He wasn't valued as a top prospect by the Indians.
  9. They were similar in that they were both roster bubble players. That's why the Indians traded him. Good on our FO for recognizing the potential in a player that had little value at the time.
  10. He's earned himself another start you would think. His stuff is a nice fit for home games in Dunedin. Roark will need a good start to the season if he wants to maintain his rotation spot.
  11. They are playing the matchups in a close game. I have no problem with him going to Phelps here.
  12. Kirk is coming in anyways if we tie it. Why is he not pinch hitting?
  13. Blooper and a blast would be nice here.
  14. The guys are seeing the ball really well from Kluber. It's just a matter of bad sequencing.
  15. I would like that on a minor league deal.
  16. It's only nice when he shuts down the red sux. The Orioles can lose every other game for all I care.
  17. You just love to see it
  18. I watched most of it in my office at work. Can't beat getting paid to watch opening day!
  19. A lot of people work on Thursdays.
  20. I think that he could be a successful starter, but it's probably not the best path for him at this point.maybe we can get some starts from him as an opener for 2 or 3 innings.
  21. I have to think that part of the reason is that Matz and Roark struggle with the home run. Zeuch keeps the ball on the ground as well as any pitcher we have, so maybe we can get some BABIP luck and steal a game.
  22. I don't know that I would do this in free agency, let alone give assets on top of that, but good for the Mets.
