  1. Actually even Joker. Could probably think of others like Embiid. Really waters down the word I guess But Durant/LeBron/Curry can’t just be just stars. Idk
  2. In basketball it’s like you got LebRon, Curry, Durant, Harden (almost) I think they should all be labeled generational
  3. Yeah, semantics. I would label Bryce Harper generational. Exciting player, one of faces of bb, no doubt HOF
  4. Well, I mean he got to that. Harper kind of had similar start to his career with the big year around some above average ones first 5 years. If I remember right. Idk. This year will be telling. Said that last year though
  5. 60/70 is still pretty much generational. If a guy can hit .290/40hr, that’s HOF stuff if consistent, or close to it
  6. Whatever. Projection is projection. Anything under 1 WAR you should just play your kids and see if something works
  7. It’s a WC team. 89 win team is the general high hope. So not a bad team, but certainly uninspiring to what it look like they were trying to build a few years ago. It’s like the Bills projecting to be 10-7 and make the playoffs as a WC. Could call that a “good team” but certainly uninspiring
  8. At he’s going to be 29, and considering his career, that’s his absolute ceiling. The BAT, who I have previously always said I like the best, and Laila told me one time it showed favorably to some of the others, has him at .3 to .5 WAR for the season over 340 ABs. With a .620 OPS or whatever, that’ll be somewhere close to PA’s he’ll likely see if there’s not injuries elsewhere as they’ll look to shake things up in the lineup I’d imagine. We’ll see
  9. If you’re already very good at defense and pitching, it makes more sense to try to find offense, rather than more defense. Not like that’s a controversial take. If all the Jays can hit better, maybe it won’t be so bad. If everyone is struggling again, the moans and groans here about Slappy at 3b will get pretty loud. Book it
  10. Urshella is the best of the bunch hands down.. one year removed from 119 wRC+ and over a 4 year stretch from being a regular it was pretty close to that, and he doesn’t hurt you on D. .298 batting average last year lol. Power is the last to go, I don’t think became a 5 HR hitter just yet. Injuries and such likely explanation. IKF blows. Espy and Biggio both have long stretches where they look like minor leaguers
  11. I don’t know. It’d at least be another piece of gook to through at the wall and hope it stuck. IKF could have a utility type role. Someone like Espy or Biggio would likely be the odd man out and I’d be ok with that for Urshela. I think he’d be a league average bat, won’t hurt you on D. Upgrade imo
  12. Ah was the Bleacher Report. Think it’s been called garbage here lol. I don’t actually go on that site, just Jays stuff makes it to my feed
  13. I’m many things, but I don’t push fake news. Thatd be a pretty lame to make up too, but I’ll see if I can find it
  14. I saw Jays in talks for Gio Urhsela. Team need wise, I’d rather have him than slap stick. Not a ringing endorsement by any means but… Plugging slap stick around may be the plan?
  15. You guys should know JB doesn’t sip the kool aid
  16. There was tongue-and-cheek to it
  17. The Jays and M’s are good test cases of why WC3 is good for baseball
  18. Makes it more painful when they sweep you in the playoffs though lol
  19. Yeah speaking of fantasy bb I held on to Gausman in many leagues while with the Orioles and he had the stuff but it always seemed he’d leave some pitches hanging and ruin the day. Someone like him it makes sense they go next level when they find an out pitch. White definitely not that
  20. You know way too much about guys like Cavan Biggio and Mitch White. You should ask to join LOD. It may end up being like bagging a 10 for you.
  21. BTS is the most sensible one here. Whenever he tells me my contrarian views got stretched too far, it’s prob true. I’ve come to respect this gift of his.
  22. I didn’t see his reply as he’s my only ignore person. Actually I’ve been looking domestic now on a Muslim dating app. Upped the age range. I’ve been a little focused on work though and haven’t followed up on anything yet. I’ll keep you posted as I know you’re curious.
  23. Yeah, I think Cease is the move for them. If their young talent stays the course, no pressing need to add any big contracts. Support them with shorter term deals
  24. I read O’s still favorite to land Cease. Burnes, Grayson, Bradish, Cease would be legit
  25. Jo Adell says hi
