    No. My pitching is just so bad lol. Dunn specifically was worth picking up for that reason.

    He could prob even get a Clemens-like contract still paying $10m+ (I could see more even) for the 2nd half/playoffs of 22’ season. If you’re a contender that’s prob something you want to do with his timeline anyway

    He’ll have an MLB offer from literally every single team in bb that he wanted. The only difference will be the $ amount Ask me if I’d rather have a HOF SP that was still on top of him game but missed a year at 1/8 or something vs. 2/24 for a 33yo shitbag like Roark. And I’m not just saying that w/benefit of hindsight. Just good logic

    Jimmy Key 5.6 WAR. Only struck out 5.5 per 9 but he was workhorse. It’s ERA but 2.76 which I bet was really good considering that was one of the most infamous juiced ball years in history

    Yeah now that I’m thinking about it I remember having McGriffs rookie card which was 1988 but that meant he usually played 87. I remember the 1987 Topps cards. Notable official rookie cards were Bonds and Big Mac (though Bonds had late 86’ edition)

    Just Bauer I guess. I guess I’m higher on Tanaka than most. Not as some #2 anchor but I just see him as a superior option to all the other guys I mentioned. I guess the velo dip is concerning but he’s also a control guy. There’s the UCL thing but that’s been takes about for like 7 years now

    In positive news of today’s start, he only walked 4 in 4.1 innings of work. So he continues on the current trend of getting that BB rate down from 1 per inning.

    The obvious impact to WAR would be Bsr and Fielding. Definitely can make the case there for slimming down but I’m not sure you could explain how that will make him a better hitter. Idk. Good physics question

    True. I was mostly going on age. But also Vlad isn’t nearly as awful (Overmatched) so it that sense it’s evened up a bit in terms of disappointment
