  1. Has Biggio been riding pine or was he banged up recently?
  2. I’m not competitive in any league this year except one I’m managing for my son and I picked him up off waivers when he was doing crappy. In bbdl, I traded Tanaka to you for Riley and a 1st and I felt some regret. Sometimes dudes figure out a way to get the K’s down after the first taste. If only Jo Adell can figure it out I’ll be happy

There’s mechanics to a shot just like there’s mechanics to a swing. Those drills are likely likely intended to determine other things as well, like how they are at creating a shot, etc. Doubt it’s about how many went in the hoop, though that matters somewhat I’m sure
  4. No. You just replied that basically Canario was worth slightly more than the draft slot in a vacuum (which I didn’t deny). You didn’t say which you’d actually prefer the Jays to have gotten in a trade

And lots of hyped guys at #4 that busted out. Not being a Raps fan, I can objectively say you have to assume Raps saw something they didn’t like with Suggs, or they did see with Barnes. No too dissimilar to the recent Jays trade. Except Raps have better track record evaluating talent
  6. Nice way to answer a question without really answering the question. You sound like a lawyer
  7. Well, answer my question 2 posts up
  8. Or if you want a real world metaphor think of having a $5 winner on a $5 scratched off lottery game, or an unscratched $5 ticket from same game (which is worth less)? Returns for Bryant, Escobar, etc are likely org guys
  9. Take your obvious hate of the Rockies org out of the equation and just honestly say if you’d rather have a draft pick right out of the 1st round or Canario. And even if you take Canario, is it a no-brainer?
  10. Here’s another thing “they” said: interim GM Bill Schmidt explained. “Depending where the pick is, it’s probably a couple million dollars added to your [signing] pool money that you’re able to use throughout the Draft. So it’s just not that player. It might be a couple other players. “But with that pick, that was where Trevor was drafted. Nolan [Arenado] was in the vicinity, Ryan McMahon -- we’ve had some success. We’ve had some misses, but we’ve had a lot of success in those areas.” Hard to call that a logic fail. Honestly I’d rather have a Round A comp pick than even Canaria. Isn’t even in High A at 21 and struggling hard. I’d rather have the re-do
  11. Against the Jays at least
  12. Yeah except Bryant isn’t garbage this year, so subtract from his deal and then judge
  13. Looking at Bryant- who is having good season, although slowing down… hard to think comp pick for Story was a horrible idea
  14. Apparently they plan to discuss extending Gray and he’s open to it. They said all the Story offers were underwhelming and if there was anything close it probably would’ve made it over the finish line. He is rocking a 84 wRC. They said comp pick felt like best bet

“the most recent team to walk away from Simmons trade talks is the Golden State Warriors. The Sixers reportedly asked for Andrew Wiggins, James Wiseman, the Nos. 7 and 14 picks in Thursday night's NBA draft and two future first-rounders, all in exchange for Simmons.” Copy/paste from a mainstream trade rumor. I really feel like this could be true lol
  16. I got that from Batman Rises when the chick sticks the knife in Batman. It was catchy
  17. Actually I think I offered you a 3rd and TCA offered a 2nd and got him (he was roundly roasted for it too). Not really bitter about that as I got outbid. I actually just like following Austin Riley (traded for him with Spank off) and you used to pimp him a lot like you do all the fantasy assets.
  18. Saying he’s the better option to start over Biggio is hardly falling in love. It’s not even akin to admitting you like the girl
  19. Bro… you don’t develop an arm to be an mlb 3b at this point in life. Maybe he could not be so atrocious fielding with some more reps but he’ll never have the arm for it. It’s over. Get Smith up, See what he’ got but Espy is the better 3b this year. It’s August
  20. The slow knife cuts the deepest
  21. I mean, it’s August. Time to accept offense/defense he’s the better option at 3b than Biggio. Maybe next will it will be diff
  22. You won’t hear Jim pimping Austin Riley this week as he traded his shares away for bags of chips
  23. They couldn’t squeeze Rogers out of Min in the deal? Sure it was covered in relevant thread but tl;dr
  24. I got seats in Buffalo 2 rows back of the field. Perfect shot to the batter box. I sit visitor side so you can see the righties (Vlad and co) better. $85. I’m so pissed they went back to the Yukon:(
