He’s got a 4.75 ERA and not much better FIP. That would classify as back-end. I could cherry pick out a good start to make his numbers worse, just like you could a bad one. What good is that. He’s been a disappointment. Doesn’t mean he won’t turn it around, or that it’s a bad contract already. It’s just facts. I’m not betting against him. The whole thing is just still up in the air on which way it goes

Hard to really grasp the emotional toll. Probably been a star ever since his 6u team all the way through the minors and then you get multiple extended mlb chances and then have to face the reality that you aren’t good enough. Can see how it’d break someone at least in the short term
