  1. Abort this season tomorrow. Sell anyone with two or less years left if the right deal comes along. Limping to the finish line to miss the WC by like 1.5 games feels like an almost certainty if they “go for it” this year
  2. I don’t believe these duds even know what they’re looking at at this point How did teams survive when they didn’t have swing plane vs VAA analysis
  3. Honestly he looks 1000x better than he ever has
  4. Unintentional intentional tanking is the only explanation

    Larry Bird
  6. Something like that. His statcast page is essentially entirely red except for his Lauch Angle Sweet Spot% which is a batted ball between 8 and 32 degrees. He’s 11th percentile If you could get him to 50th percentile he’s like Yordan Alvarez
  7. Holy s*** would a smash $1 tacos at the Skydome
  8. Imagine how pissed Chris Bassitt is tonight Team is a joke. The old boys club. Country club atmosphere
  9. Yup seems like they’ve been pumping good arms out for a while. Gil is obviously a revelation but they’ve turned out really good relievers for a while now
  10. But the answer wasn’t doubling down on KK and the fielding % championships after it didn’t work the first time
  11. Of course there’s other ways to add wins But you said they needed ISO, doubled down on run prevention and it didn’t work. But we can only see that in hindsight which isn’t true at all No we don’t know what and who they offered, but what we do know is they ended up with a bunch of defense first players when they needed guys who can hit, in the simplest terms
  12. Probably should do that. Guys aren’t hitting the ground running from the minors to the bigs anymore. You have a good strategy. Pick up minor leaguers and trade them for good big leaguers. Surprised your league mates haven’t caught on yet
  13. Spanky hindsight is the realization of something only after it has happened. Your first sentence states that ISO was clearly missing on this team heading into 2024. So by definition it is not hindsight to say wow we could’ve used some power in this lineup
  14. Good tanking strategy, I like it
  15. Good places to drop a line
  16. Not sure. Your three best relievers are on the IL there is plenty of room right now. He’s like 5’8 and had TJ already
  17. Ernie Clement my guy 😂
  18. There were lots of moves
  19. Usually in a post this long the point is lost sorry 1.7 WAR in 40% of a season is like 3 or 4 wins That’s a lot for a team on the fringes
  20. It might be dumb but it’s also dumb to claim there was nothing that could have been done
  21. Plus the Yankees have always been good at pitching development. They’ve always identified or built really good pen arms and some SP prospects too Then they traded for the best hitter in the league to hit in front of another one of the best hitters in the league Stanton is found money but every team winds up with a player over performing All without Gerrit Cole
  22. Imagine having a staff full of guys who can actually bring value to the players, meanwhile we’re rolling with drunk Pete and the old Miami Marlins manager
