  1. I also think everyone knew pitching at Safeco would help his numbers, and that these posts would inevitably follow.
  2. It really has more to do with turning a blind eye to the players we don't want to acknowledge as opposed to the odds Anthony Gose becomes an All-Star.
  3. Why move any of those three?
  4. Because Cueto shouldn't cost the farm. Cueto is a FA, and this team needs to add pitching. Either AA sits on his thumb and watches this thing go up in flames, or he makes a move. There is almost no way to argue this team is playoff caliber as is. I'm really bad at gauging trade value with prospects, so I won't even venture a guess.
  5. Nobody cares about Gabe Gross or David Cooper. I promise you. The main point I'm trying to illustrate is that if you're willing to acknowledge Matt Boyd's ceiling is that of a number three starter, you can't simply tell me Anthony Gose's ceiling is not that of 2-3 WAR CF (more realistic, All-Star was a little excessive). Anthony Gose did perform though. He was an above average hitter for three straight seasons in the minors, doing so at a younger age than Boyd.
  6. Kemp/Upton/Myers- 0.7 WAR Harper 2.2 WAR
  7. Padres fans might be the worst in the league. Watching them play the Nats, Harper up to bat and some guy yells "they're only playing you because they're paying you!". Ya, 2.5M to be worth more than your entire OF.
  8. It'll be interesting to see what they do in the FA market this offseason. They're basically like the Yankees of 00's, with an even bigger advantage being the best FO at identifying value. Much more likable though.
  9. Do I think that the Dodgers are going to set the league record for wRC+ in an era where runs have been highly suppressed? No. What I do enjoy seeing is a competent executive utilize his resources to produce the best offense in baseball. Dodgers are going to be very good, for a very long time.
  10. Colby will always be one of my favorite players. I find it funny when "hick" is used as an insult as well.
  11. They're doing it on a .307 BABIP as a team as well.
  12. I agree. It's cool to see what Friedman's work looks like after casuals screamed when they traded guys like Dee and Kemp.
  13. Yes. He's proven time and time again that he's one of the very best at what he does. He's essentially the Mike Trout of executives.
  14. Dodgers team wRC+ 131 Blue Jays team wRC+ 110
  15. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/theres-nothing-at-all-like-the-dodgers-offense/ Good article from Jeff Sullivan illustrating just how good the Dodgers offense is. I would trade Jeff Hoffman for Farhan Zaidi or Andrew Friedman.
  16. Haha shut the f*** up Buck, you're so dumn
  17. Haha seems like this was started for Rasmus fans.
  18. 9/10, beautiful woman.
  19. Atta boy Spanky, you tell him! We know you love Lind.
  20. Come on Buck. "Big Chris Carter" lol Thole
  21. Pillar 5th is so gross.
