  1. I want to like the Twins but they make it so hard.
  2. I'm dumn and you are correct! I browse a Jays group on Facebook and the "smart" people there think Pillar and Hutch+ will land Carrasco. I guess I'm just getting used to seeing dumb proposals.
  3. Pillar will not be the centerpiece of a Carrasco deal.
  4. I'd non tender Smoak. I was a big fan of his all year but have converted. He's pretty redundant on this roster. I'd like to think that even if non tendered, Saunders could be brought back. He was obviously excited to be a Blue Jay after the trade, and this might be a situation where a player takes a discount just to stay within the org.
  5. Pretty tough to say he won't three years from now.
  6. More than 8 less than 9 I'd guess.
  7. Nice knowing ya David. I hope we crush him every single time we play Boston.
  8. It all makes sense now.
  9. My statement had nothing to do with winning a World Series and everything to do with not trading a minor leaguer coming off TJS for a perennial all-star.
  10. Sometimes you can appear more intelligent admitting when you're wrong instead of sticking to your guns through and through.
  11. Would you have traded Big Hoff for Harper?
  12. STEROIDS MAKE U A GOOD HITTER cf
  13. Our resident accountant will be pleased.
  14. Close! Hating Phoenix seems to be common ground for all Californians. Never been to California, but I love Phoenix.
  15. The DBacks actually have a decent squad and look to finally be acquiring that upper tier starter they've been talking about for a couple offseasons.
  16. You must be from So Cal
  17. If Stanton is still alive at 33 he will be a major league starter somewhere.
  18. The ironic part here even though you probably don't realize it is that signing the best players may increase the Jays odds in the short term but significantly dampers their long term outlook. I don't think you want to see the Blue Jays win anymore than others here, it's that most people realize that you need multiple chances to win a World Series. Being "built to win" in 2016 is not an excuse to spend like a drunken sailor this offseason.
  19. Did you know everyone is aging?
  20. Your first problem is that you're going to evaluate based on ERA and RA.
  21. Remember how most of the board was praying Cleveland didn't grab a WC berth?
  22. This move is fine. Happ was really good in Pittsburgh and if he can retain some of that we'll be in good shape. Shapiro coming in basically as advertised, adding cheap short term depth to the biggest area of weakness. Doesn't move the needle much, but acts as a decent insurance policy against the dog s*** AAAA starters we've become accustomed to seeing as Jays fans when inevitable injuries occur.
