  1. Working and on my phone. Will pick in a couple of hours.
  2. Wow wtf happened here? Also my board got obliterated while I was gone
  3. Every single paragraph is full of ********. Pompey and DSJ will not do "very well" if thrown into the corners. They're both 4th outfielders. Biagini, Barnes and Tepera are okay, but who really cares. I wouldn't be surprised if none of them were with the club in two years. Nobody expects JD to live up to his MVP year. That's like expecting to bang the hottest chick you ever did every time you go out. Yes, he would most certainly fetch something more than decent. They aren't going to DFA Bautista. You can't just get rid of Tulo, and Morales, if it was that easy it would have already been done I'm sure. Martin is not dead money, he's actually been just fine.
  4. Yup. It looks like he's sacrificing his slider to the baseball gods for a chance to stay healthy.
  5. No I don't think the slider is responsible for the injuries of Syndergaard or Harvey. I do believe Matz has stopped throwing his slider in an effort to stay on the field. Throwing the slider less and 2mph slower (which is probably another conscious decision) has resulted in a drop in SwStr%, K/9 and groundball rates. Not a recipe for success. He's also apparently on record as saying he wants to pitch to more contact. It's like a little birdie whispered in his ear that if you can't stay on the field you'll never get paid.
  6. Can someone PM AG for me?
  7. Sniped two picks in a row. I'll take Mountcastle.
  8. He's been fantastic out of the pen, but if the return on JD was a reliever (albeit an excellent one so far) I would not be thrilled.
  9. Yes, just like you need hitters too. Pretty tough to win a WS with two starters and a closer.
  10. Top 5 Prospect Pitchers from BA: 2016: Urias (dead), Giolito (sux), Reyes (TJS), Snell (BB's), Matz (not throwing the Warthen slider so he can make some money) 2015: Giolito, Urias, Thor (hurt but still a boss), Rodon (hurt but I still like), Glasnow (sux) 2014: Tanaka (not really a prospect but good), Bradley (Archie), Walker (decent), J. Gray (decent), Bundy ( )
  11. No thanks on pitching prospects. If they're going to trade JD (or Stroman/Sanchez which I doubt) I want position prospects back. Arms will break your heart.
  12. Wow, didn't realize that was all they had tied up for next year. I wonder if they could be big players in the 2018 FA class? The farm is nice, but lots of prospects don't pan out. Not a fan of most of their pitching prospects either.
  13. Rutherford himself is a pretty good return on Frazier and not having to pay Robertson 13M next year.
  14. Dave is dumn but not that dumn
  15. Sounds like Frazier is on his way out of Chicago
  16. Jim that is just fine. Pick at your earliest convenience.
  17. Nice! That's the spirit.
  18. Marcus Stroman should probably stop searching his name on Twitter after every start.
  19. Thanks. Tough to turn down the Dominican Bryce Harper!
  20. I was hoping to get him or Tatis Jr. at 4, turns out I actually had a decision to make.
