  1. Martin has openly expressed a willingness to play in a super utility role There's also a point of diminishing returns trying to milk every last asset whenever someone is a pending FA. As I've stated before, there's value in putting a decent team and leadership around your franchise prospect. I refuse to fap to the idea of paying 15M for a couple of Forrest Wall types at the expense of Russell Martin.
  2. He’s 100% more interesting than Thomas Pannone who likely doesn’t miss a top 30 list because he spent times in the bigs this year.
  3. If Martin asks to be moved to a contender that’s fine. He’s paid his dues and I wouldn’t blame him if he said he wanted to go and try to win. But wanting to move him for the sake of saving 5M and getting a C prospect is just a lazy way to arm chair GM.
  4. Merryweather should be on every top 30 Jays prospects list. There’s really no reason why he shouldn’t be.
  5. "They know my schedule right now" That's awesome
  6. Looking forward to their decision. Seems unlikely that anyone will be disappointed in whatever direction they go.
  7. As long as everything goes right, he doesn't get hurt, etc. For a a C prospect that's not that intriguing to me I also don't think that Shatkins are interested in taking the PR hit on moving from Russell, our patriot.
  8. Isn’t said expensive veteran still expensive if you eat virtually all of the salary to move him? Saving $4M is not worth the postional flexibility, elite mentoring for DJ and clubhouse leadership Martin will provide in his final year in Toronto. Plus, there’s value in the 2019 team not being an absolute tire fire and Martin is better than any alternative available.
  9. Four glorious days my friend
  10. Ryan Bouricki seems most likely to begin in the rotation I’d say
  11. Time for me to pass the torch. Congrats JB. That offence is an absolute juggernaut
  12. Like Boxy said earlier why not just implement the 24 hour wait to post? There is zero downside
  13. You have some irons in the fire already Jim?
  14. Exactly. Especially within a group of SSS nazis it doesn’t make sense to use playoff finishes for draft positioning.
  15. Use regular season records and then this problem is solved.
  16. Absolutely it can be. Just like fastball velocity.
  17. Danny Jansen is a stud
  18. Who says pitchers aren’t athletes? Great play by Borucki!
  19. Damn JB that week was an absolute war. Good luck in the finals, you’ve put together a really good team.
  20. Looking forward to Tercet’s recap of TSB’s start
  21. Did you mix up elite Toronto Blue Jay prospects??
  22. Wow what a roller coaster of a week. She was tight the entire time, great match up Dinger. Did not expect Porcello to pull through tbh
  23. So you want to fire Shatkins and hire Matheney? Ok
  24. What’s the upside? Saving 5M to line Rogers pockets? No thanks
  25. I knew somebody was going to try and correct me and say “actually Vlad will be with X amount during his last year”
