  1. Lmao you could add players who aren’t sideshows regardless of race. Breaking up the barrio didn’t mean we are no longer employing latinos Nobody said anything about the language they speak. Straw man argument
  2. Nothing to do with race. KK and Belt bring a level of playoff experience and an understanding of what it takes to win that those guys really don’t.
  3. Been saying it for a long time and lots of guys mocked me for it but it was clear as day that the lack of maturity was an anchor holding the team back. Charlie gone Teo gone LGJ gone HR jacket gone Barrio gone Mattingly in KK in Belt in Not happenstance. Deliberate cuts and additions
  4. Doubt the Jays regret Moreno for Varsho. Moreno might max out as like a 4 WAR player as he approaches free agency but to me he looks like a high floor lower ceiling kind of guy. Varsho is a 4 WAR player right now.
  5. Agreed. Baseball is for everyone.
  6. Wow! That’s a statement
  7. Cost certainty. And I’d rather see the Nats spending some cash and committing to a young player than sit on their wallets like other teams. Pretty low risk move on their part, he’ll almost certainly be worth at 5 or 6 AAV for that entire deal
  8. Catching prospects rarely hit the ground running and that’s back up catcher money. If Ruiz unlocks any sort of power upgrade that contract will be very valuable.
  9. You’d have to be high to give someone with Rodon’s injury history that term and length. Would want nothing to do with that contract
  10. Who’s on the bump today do we know?
  11. I busted my jaw taking a pitch to the face. Probably like an 83 mph heater. Couldn’t imagine taking a major league fastball
  12. I don’t think he’s ever not been fat You can see when he turns around first he kinda breaks his footing down and then sees the throw goes through to home so takes off for second. Those knees aren’t used to starts at stops like that. He kind of gingerly eases into second
  13. Dangerous for fat man to start and stop too quickly
  14. There are 100% coaches picking teams based on exit velocities
  15. Who’s better Brandon Belt or Kyle Schwarber
  16. Brick white men who hit from the left side in a Phillies uniform
  17. Wow! Why stop there? The next Randy Johnson
  18. Odds are stacked against him starting the year in Toronto but he’s going to be viewed the same as the Phillies view Andrew Painter. Elite arm on a contender ready to insert into the rotation when an opportunity presents itself. Could either be injury or performance. Having guys like Barger and Tiedemann turn into core pieces would be like Strider and Harris with Atlanta last year.
  19. Imagine if the Jays have a home grown McClanahan waiting in the wings
  20. Jays will have two 40 man spots to work with when Ryu and Green head to the DL
  21. Angels did a good job filling the cracks this offseason and raising the floor of their team. They went from stars and scrubs to starts and major league regulars throughout the lineup.
